Welp.
This was a bad idea.
Just kidding. To be honest, our three hour ride wasn't half bad.
Just a fun trip filled with Disney Songs, laughs, and a bunch of bathroom breaks.
I was currently sitting in the back left seat with Muriel in the right back seat. Danae in the passengers, and her sister Danielle was driving. I was sketching still, trying to pass time, being the fact that we couldn't use our IPads at all.
5 minutes in, I had already ripped out 8 pages of my sketchbook, and shoving it into my backpack to later throw away. I was really out of ideas on what to draw. Most of the time, I would try to recreate Angela's drawings but, low and behold, she wasn't in the car with us.
Muriel seemed somewhat peaceful. Staring out the window with her arm propped on the window holding her head up. She would sketch sometimes too, stopping every 5 minutes to say it was "literal trash" which wasn't even true, then ripping it out and giving it to me.
Then, I heard a familiar song from a Disney Movie. Tangled. Muriel started jamming right away, and out of boredom and dire needs, I sketched out Rapunzel. And that's what I ended up doing for the next 45 minutes of the drive.
Sketching out the princesses from the songs that played. Eventually, I had a full page with drawings of Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Rapunzel, Mulan, etc. I sighed before folding up the paper and placing it in my binder pocket.
Next, we stopped for a bathroom break. It felt good to finally get out the car and stretch my legs. I didn't really have to use the bathroom but I did anyway. Afterward it was, Danae, then Muriel and Danielle.Next thing we knew, we were in the car and on the road again.
And my worst fear came true.
That God forsaken song came on.
Let It Go
I heard the first lyrics of the song before I let out a loud and exaggerated sigh.
Because God forbid I go one week without hearing that freaking song.
By the time the song ended, I wanted to rip my eardrums out. Danae's sister had turned up the song the first time the chorus came on, so after that, it was a hell ride.
I managed to shake it off before another song came on. It was Part of your World from The Little Mermaid. It's not a bad movie, it just makes no sense to me.
Maybe it's the fact that you can't just "fall in love" with someone after seeing them one time and risking your life and people just to go see the guy with no proof whatsoever that he's interested in you and wants to see you again, let alone marry you or love you...
Just my thoughts.. but overall it's not bad. Just could've been better.
Anyways, we finally made it to the hotel! Yay!
(Yay! I finally got it out! Anyways, stay tuned to find out what happened when we arrive at the hotel!
