Chapter 4 ~ Heath Who?

'BbnngnvoI walked up the steps of the high school. This was gonna be a long day.

"Hey, uh, Skylar right?" A guy said to me.

"Uh, yeah.. But I have to get to class." I said. I didn't feel very comfortable talking to this guy.

"We have about 20 minutes you got here early. I'm Heath by the way."

"Oh, Heath baby. I didn't know where you were." It was Lola. "Oh I didn't realize you were talking to a fucking messed up girl."

A tear filled my eye. I-I wasn't messed up. Was I?

"Lola. Just leave her alone." Heath said. I tried slipping out of this but Heath grabbed my arm a little to hard and pain shot up my arm. He was looking at Lola so he didn't know it. He let go after about a minute.

"She's just as stupid as a dog chasing its tail. Worthless girl. I don't get why people like her." Lola said snottily.

"And I don't get why you bully and mess around with people." I whispered while walking away.

"Ahem." It sounded like a guy. I turned around to see a tall figure with threat in his eyes.

"I'm her 'body- boyfriend. I'd do anything for Lola." Oh God. A body guard probably. Not her boyfriend. What does this mean?

Lola whispered something in his ear and he shook his head. She said something with the word 'now' in it.

"Sorry." He said. Then he tackled me to the hard floor of the school. Ouch and Ow.

I screamed in pain.

"Cant. Breathe." I said.

"Lola! What the fuck did you do this time!?" I think it was .. Dylan?

"Nothing." Lola said a little quick.

"Help. Get it off." I said. I couldn't say it loud because I had no breath or else I would've.

"Skylar? Oh my God!" He said dragging off the person off of me. I had the breath knocked out of me so I could hardly speak.

I was holding my side where it hurt most. It was my right side.

I looked over to see Heath was gone.

"Skylar, why don't you take the day off. From .. Well everything." He said.

"But first, who is Heath?" I asked him. I saw his eyes turn cold.

"He is, just, no one." He said coldly. I took a step back. I saw his hands balled into fists. After a minute he un-balled his hands.

"I'm gonna take you home." He said.

On the drive back to his house I asked,"Please tell me about a Heath. I need to know about him."

He gripped the steering wheel. "Not now, Skylar." He said coldly.

We got to the house and all the other brothers were there. He probably told them.. They went upstairs and so did I.

I heard them talk,"Guys.. Heath is here now. We gotta watch out."

"Oh God. Who knows what damage he can do now.." That sounded like Ashton.

"I hope he doesn't hurt Skylar. This is gonna be bad." That must be Derrick I think.

"We can't tell her now .. She's gonna freak when she knows someone might be after her." That was Tie. Oh my God. Someone might be after me?! Holy crap.

"Well, I mean, we gotta keep her safe some how! I say we each go with her each day." That sounded like Tanner.

"No. She'll know something's up." That was Jesse.
