The demon is standing right in front of me, I look to my right there's another one, just like left and behind. On the floor next to me lays Chel, unconscious and bleeding. I grab my sword tight but it won't have much effect. The demon upfront charges at me. I dodge quickly, carefully watching which side I dodge to, being circled and all. Another demon charges I dodge again but the demon managed to scrape my arm, not deep but it burns. I grab the dodged Demon and slit its throat with my sword, the lights flicker and the demon leaves the body. Interesting. one gone three left. They're all in front of me now. I'm trying to keep Chel behind me if something happens to her, I'll be doomed, probably thrown in hell, or at least punished. The three demons charge at the same time. With help of my wings I jump over them turn, around as quickly as possible, and stab the middle one, lights flicker again and the black smokey demon leaves the body. I need to keep their attention away from Chel.
Suddenly the door bursts open. "you.." I growl at his sight. "Me." He says with a smirk on his face. He snaps his fingers and the demons immediately leave. He holds up his hand and mimics the throwing of a ball. With that gesture, I get pinned against the wall, a few centimetres above the ground. "I told you we would find you, and her." He looks at Chel. "Don't you dare hurt her," I growl at him but he seems more amused by it than scared. "I wouldn't. We've got more in store for her. For you though." Suddenly an invisible hand starts choking me. I gasp for air but can't get any. "You're disposable. It would be nicer to have you on our side though. But look at yourself, and her. Why would you try so hard to protect her? You did nothing but lie to her. You told her you were an angel, that you didn't have a single memory left. But you're no angel." He laughs, my vision starts to fade. My lungs feel like they're on fire, I close my eyes. I've failed, I... failed.
I gasp as a rush of air fills my lungs. I start coughing, I'm dizzy and my head hurts. I open my eyes, but the light is almost blinding. I shield my eyes from the sun and look around. The house, I'm in the house. I get up and walk towards a mirror. My face looks pale, what happened? I look around once more, the place is a mess. There are two bodies on the ground. My sword! It's on the ground next to the wall, the wall is kind of damaged like something has been pressed against it. I pick up my sword and everything starts coming back. Panic takes over my mind. I lost her! I failed! How am I even alive? Damon, he said he'd get rid of me. What is happening?! I wipe the blood off of my sword and put it back on me. I need to go now. I open the front door, "Where are you going sunshine." in front of me stands a rather tall, light brown haired, charming youuu guy. "Lloyd? What the hell," I turn around while grabbing my sword. Nothing makes sense anymore. "Come on sunshine, I wouldn't let you die now would I?" He smirks. I swear sometimes it's like Lloyd and Damon are the same people, but they're not. They're brothers. "You would. If it would benefit you. Now, why would you help me? What's in it for you?" I ask while keeping a close eye on him. "Awh, why does it have to benefit me? I'd save you any day sunshine." The stupid smirk never leaves his arrogant face. I look him in the eyes with a look of steel. "Okay fine, someone made a deal with me. Save your ass and I'd get something I needed. What? None of your business." He rants. This troubles me. Who would make a deal with a Lucklare? They're, we're known for bad luck. And to save me? It just doesn't add up.
"Well, I'm going after Chel. Or I'll be damned anyway." I announce while leaving the house. Of course, Lloyd follows me. "Now now Sunshine, you know finding my brother isn't easy. What's your plan?" Lloyd asks he's always been curious but now he just seems amused. "Maybe summon him, or yell that I'm still alive," I say while shrugging, I don't really have a plan. "Summoning is a terrible idea, he'll possess you in a few seconds and you know it. And I'm trying to keep you alive here. I AM a man of word." He explains it as if he is saying it to a five-year-old. "Yeah I know, but I'm stronger and I got the anti possession tattoo. He can't possess me. And I'm a Lucklare like you remember?" I answer, a bit annoyed. "pf, as if. You know my brother. And I'm not fully Lucklare, I've got some demon blood here and there. Damon will break your mind, he'll emotionally torture you while reading a book. Well, I suppose I could just tell you where he is, but for a small price, sunshine." We stop walking, he looks at me with a stupid big smirk on his face. Out of nowhere, I kick him in the nuts, grab my sword and hold it at his throat while having him pinned against the wall. "where." I demand. He groans. "Old chair factory." He says with a croaky voice. His smirk is also wiped off of his face. "you okay?" I ask while letting go. "Peachy." He groans. heh, not that I'd care.
I'm at the back entrance of the factory. Why does it have to be an abandoned factory? Why do bad guys love abandoned things? I actually do need a plan, or I'll just get myself killed again. I'm actually praying Damon isn't inside. He definitely is, but I can have hope. Since Chel is their first priority this place could be swarming with demons. I don't know if I can take them all on my own. I fly up to one of the windows, I peek inside. There she is, tied to a chair right in the middle. Around her are four guards. No one else? I look around some more, but there's nobody else. It is most definitely a trap. But if Damon thinks I'm dead, who's the trap for?
