Violet and the dark figure were swallowed into the milky patch of light in the blink of an eye. Her bedroom was left dark, empty, and without a trace of where violet had gone. The figure pulled her by her ankles into a room. It looked to be some sort of study. As she observed the room she noticed several things: books lined the walls all the way up the ceiling, there were several other dark figures sitting at a table in the middle of the study, and the room was unbearably hot. Violet looked around with wide eyes filled with terror. The figure who had dragged her out of her bed seemed to notice she was scared. "Hold on", it voiced deeply, " let me take a more human form." It was engulfed in black smoke and emerged as a very handsome man maybe in his 20's. His hair was a dark brown waterfall that cascaded over his light skin. "Now, as I said earlier I need you to help me settle a bet." "Uhh.." was all violet could muster. "Smarty pants over here says that if you put frosting on a muffin it becomes a cupcake, I say that's bullshit", he said pointing at one of the figures "I said it's still a muffin, so we brought you here because we thought a human might know, and we've got 20 souls on this so which is it?" "Where the hell am I?", Violet asked. "Funny you ask", he chuckled, "you're in hell actually." "So you're like a bunch of demons or something?" "Yeah, you could say that, could you just answer the question?" "Uhh", Violet started, "it'd still be a muffin if you put frosting on it because a muffin has a different recipe than a cupcake", said violet groggily. "Ha! Gimme me my 20 souls asshole!",he laughed at the figure he pointed at earlier. The dark, person-shaped mass slid a little bag across the table. The demon in front of me smiled as he slid it into a pocket in his jacket. He was wearing all black. Black pants, black button down, and a black suit jacket. With that, all of the demons around the table vanished. "So what's you'r name?" Violet asked still frightened and shocked. "Call me Silas.", he smirked. "Ok, Silas can I go home now?", She asked. "No.", he said nonchalantly. "What do you mean 'no'?" "I mean no, you're stuck here, sorry.", he said unapologetically. "You can't leave."
