Ochi's first pet was a hamster he named Strudel. He had been wanting a pet for a few years now, so Noodle and 2D decided to give him a few chores to see if six year old Ochi was ready.
Ochi helped out with the other animals around the house, he gave food and water to Mike and played with Katsu. Sometimes Murdoc would even let him fetch treats for Cortez. Which although was gross to Ochi, he still enjoyed Cortez very much despite the ears and other things the scavenger ate.
Noodle let him pour the food into the dishes all by himself, as long as she or another adult was watching. It took some tries before Ochi could manage to scoop the food correctly, in the meantime the food mostly ended up on the floor.
At first Ochi wasn't sure what type of pet he wanted, the store was full of all kinds. He thought maybe ill get a bird and Cortez can have a friend or maybe another cat like Katsu. Howerever upon walking by the hamster cages, Ochi knew exactly what he wanted.
There were many kinds of hamsters in each of the cages but a shy golden one trying to keep itself hidden in the corner caught Ochi's attention. He was smaller than the rest, Ochi could relate to that being small himself.
From the moment Ochi brought Strudel home the hamster instantly relaxed. He was much more curious than he had been in the store. There were a few times Ochi thought he had lost Strudel when he got out of his cage. Luckily following clues around the house they were able to locate the hamster along with chewed socks along the way.
