Gaara and Sarrin were sparring one day, because they wanted to get some training in for the upcoming Chunin Exams.
"After we're done training, do youwant to hang out somewhere..just you and me ", Sarrin panted. "..Sure, but where ? ", Gaara asked.
" Hmm, lets just lay in the grass and watch the clouds pass by in the sky..that rhymed", Sarrin giggled childishly. " That seems so cliche, typical Sarrin", The seafoam-eyed boy replied.
"Fine. Let's make it a date then, might as well if it's going to be so cliche", the confident girl smirked.
"U-uh, what is a date ? ", Gaara blushed, he was embarrassed, because of the fact that he didn't really know much about relationships and love.
" A date is like hanging out with someone you like in a relationship-way..like boyfriend/girlfriend type stuff ", the 13-year-old tried to explain. "Does that mean...you l-like me ?", Gaara asked, unsure, as usual.
Sarrin's POV
'Ugh, me and my big mouth why did I say that, it's going to be awkward between us now, because he probably does not feel the same way', I thought, sadly.
"Let's just hang out as friends, so it won't be weird", I said trying to mask my sadness. "Ok, let's go find an empty field.", his words were laced with disappointment.
I wondered why he was disappointed, hmm.. maybe he does feel the same way, but I didn't really know if he could feel love like that. I hope he can express it..A girl can dream. I can't think about that now.
Gaara and I walked to a park, and we talked for hours.
He asked me a lot of relationship questions, which I answered to the best of my ability.
"What does it mean if they sleep together?", Gaara asked, not knowing how wrong that sounded. "Um.. in what wa-" "Just sleeping nothing else", Gaara interrupted the almost awkward question. " I think friends do that, you don't have to be in a relation ship to sleep with someone..no action of course", I giggled nervously.
Eventually I fell asleep by his side. What a coincidence, since that's what we were talking about prior to my nap.
Third Person POV
Since Gaara is not able to sleep, he just closed his eyes and smiled a little bit. He was glad to be with her in this moment, even if just as friends.
He constantly thought about the advice he had received from his quirky friend. He also thought about how he could use this advice to advance their friendship into a relationship.
The red-headed boy was hoping he could express his love and care for her, because whatever he was feeling..he did not want it to stop. The boy had never felt this way about anyone and he was scared.
But for now he just watched stayed with you while you slept, and contemplated on what the two of you would do when she woke up.
Gaara already knew she'd want to watch a movie at his house..in his room..just the two of them, alone.
The thought of it lowkey scared him, even though he was completely comfortable with the Namikaze.
