[Wonlim Park, 7:50 p.m.]

Seokjin reached Woolim Park after a short drive from the Signal House. There was not one person in sight, except for a tall slender girl seated on a bench under a lamp. Seokjin smiled as he recognised the girl's familiar side profile. He creeped up behind her slowly.
Seokjin: BOO!
Seokjin shouted as he pounced on Byulyi from behind. Byulyi turned around, unfazed.
Byulyi: Sup.
Seokjin laughed as he sat down on the bench beside her.
Seokjin: I knew it wouldn't work on you. But I still wanted to try.
The two of them sit there in silence for a while, staring into the dark night. Finally, Seokjin sat up straight and turned to Byulyi.

Seokjin: So... I guess we're a couple now?
Byulyi looked at Seokjin and laughed.
Byulyi: I-
Seokjin didn't wait for Byulyi's reply. He pulled her in for a long hug. Byulyi's eyes widened, but slowly the corner of her lips curled into a smile.
Byulyi: This feels funny.
Seokjin frowned and let go.
Seokjin: What... why?
Byulyi leaned back against the bench, slounching slightly, and gazing into the starry night.
Byulyi: Friends for four years... and now...
Seokjin laughed, following Byulyi's posture and staring into the night sky as well.
Seokjin: Come to think of it, you're right.
Byulyi frowned as she thought of something Seokjin had said earlier. She sat upright.
Byulyi: About that thing you said earlier... the crush on me before you got your girlfriend...
Seokjin laughed awkwardly.
Seokjin: About that... it's true. I did have a short crush on you since the beginning. But I always thought you didn't see me in that way.
Byulyi laughed.
Byulyi: Dude! I dropped so many hints!
Seokjin laughed, sitting upright to face Byulyi.
Seokjin: Like... what?
Byulyi thought for a while.
Byulyi: Like... well, taking cutlery for you, throwing rubbish for you, waiting for you to eat lunch...
Seokjin laughed.
Seokjin: Ya! That's normal things friends do for each other! Go ask around.
Byulyi: For normal people, yes. But for me, have you seen me doing that to anyone else?
Seokjin thought for a while and laughed.
Seokjin: Come to think of it, no. But didn't you only have me as a friend?
Byulyi smacked Seokjin on the head hard.
Seokjin: Ya! You can't do that to me anymore now!
Byulyi smirked.
Byulyi: There's nothing I can't do.
Seokjin retreated.
Seokjin: But what do you think I felt when you called me stuff like "dude" and "idiot" and "stupid"? Is that what you call your crush?
Byulyi: Um... that's my way of showing affection?
Seokjin laughed mockingly.
Seokjin: Yeah, right.
Byulyi: In all seriousness though, I was just trying to hide my feelings for you, I guess. I must have thought you didn't see my in that way too.
Seokjin frowned.
Seokjin: I just thought it was impossible for us to become a couple... so when my ex-girlfriend confessed to me, I just accepted her. Then when we broke up, you were already attached. That's how we both missed the opportunity.
Byulyi scoffed.
Byulyi: Yeah right. Even with me crushing on you for four years straight, we missed it.
Seokjin's eyes widened.
Seokjin: Four years?! You said you only started crushing on me when I got a girlfriend just now...
Byulyi: I lied, okay? It was since... hmm, Year One? Yeah.
Seokjin laughed and clapped slowly.
Seokjin: Daebak, Moon Byulyi.
Byulyi stared daggers at him.

Byulyi: Shut it, Kim Seokjin.
Seokjin's eyes widened.
Seokjin: Ya, come to think of it, you've been calling me "Kim Seokjin". You can't do that now!
Byulyi laughed.
Byulyi: If I don't call you "Kim Seokjin", what do I call you?
Seokjin: "Oppa"?
Byulyi's eyes widened.
Byulyi: Ya, we're the same age, how can I call you oppa?
Seokjin smiled and shrugged.
Seokjin: Well, it's just one of the options. "Yeobo" and "jagi" are acceptable too. 
Byulyi cringed, really hard.
Byulyi: No way.
Seokjin frowned.
Seokjin: Please? For my sake?
Byulyi looked at Seokjin's sincere expression and finally relented. She bit her lips and hesitated for a while.
Byulyi: Alright, Seokjin-oppa.
She laughed embarassedly, hiding her face immediately behind her hands.
Byulyi: Can you see my fingers curling?
Seokjin smirked.
Seokjin: Weren't they always like that?
Byulyi glared at him and lifted up her hand to smack Seokjin on the head but Seokjin had finally developed quick enough reflexes. He grabbed her hand mid-air and pulled her in for a second hug. He spoke softly into her ear.
Seokjin: Stop hitting me will you?
Byulyi didn't answer his question. She seemed to be lost in her own thoughts, as tears welled up in her eyes. Finally, she spoke.
Byulyi: Do you know how much tears I've shed because of you over the years?
Seokjin smiled, resting his chin on her shoulder.
Seokjin: I got it, I got it. I'm sorry.
Byulyi blinked and hot tears started flowing down her cheeks.
Seokjin: Are you crying?
Seokjin seemed to realise as he pulled away from the hug. He frowned when he saw Byulyi's tear-streaked face. He cupped her face between his two hands, using his thumb to wipe away her tears.
Seokjin: Oppa is at fault, I'm terribly sorry.
He used his right hand to place Byulyi's head gently on his wide sturdy shoulder and looked down at her with a determined look in his eyes.
Seokjin: From now on, I'll treat you like you're the only woman in the world.
Byulyi smiled. She pursed her lips and nodded contentedly. The couple sit on the bench in the dark night, under the lamp, enjoying the fresh night air and of course, the company of their newfound significant other.
