"i don't know how you talked me into this, y/n, and if i die i'll sue you for everything you've got." jack threatened as we hiked over to the island were we would be spending the night.

"you'll be fine! i've done this for like 6 years and i'm still alive." i reassured.

"yeah but you're a pretty girl, i'm a pretty boy but i'm also gay and what if the ghost is homophobic?"

"i think you'll be fine, jack." i said as he sighed.

jaeden sped up and walked next to me, "are you scared?" he asked.

"no, are you?"

"a little, i've never slept outside before."

"it's not all that bad, you'll get used to it quickly."

"oh i'm sure you were already used to it, seeing as you're homeless and all." he referenced an old inside joke we had as kids.

i giggled and pushed his shoulder, "you know it, y/n the hobo."

i turned around to look at wyatt, who looked upset, "aww is somebody scared?" i cooed.

"you wish, you're probably more scared than i am," he taunted.

"ah, but that's where you're wrong, i have experience, and i also know your fears, try again kiddo."

"you cant call me kiddo if i'm older than you."

"0h but i just did."

"if you're gonna counteract everything i say this whole night i'll just go home."

"you don't have the key."

"whatever."

when we finally got there, there was a path with trees all around it before we got to the opening where we would hang our hammocks, so we walked for about five minutes until we came to the clearing. "this does not look like enough trees for all eight of us." jack said worriedly.

"well i hate to break it to you but there's usually only four people that stay here, but, if we put two hammocks on each tree, we should be fine. share the tree with whoever you sleep closest to in the house, but if you wanna switch i really don't care anymore." i shrugged and started to walk over to sophia but she was already hanging her hammock up on top of jaedens so i left them alone.

i turned around to put mine up and was faced with the one and only wyatt. "guess were bunking together; again." i said.

"i guess so." he replied.

"remember i know your fears." i retorted as i walked away.

"no you don't."

"whatever you say kiddo."

he opened his mouth to speak but i turned and gave him a look, so he decided against it.

when the sun started going down we all sat by the fire roasting marshmallows. "i've watched too much buzzfeed unsolved to camp outside like this." sophia shuddered.

"i love that show," i said back, "aw shit."

"what?" finn questioned.

"we forgot bathing suits and towels."

"if you think that i'm swimming in that water at this time of day then you are sadly mistaken." replied jack.
