You, Cam, and Mason were walking down a sidewalk towards Mason's hotel. He decided he wasn't going to stay with Cam for some reason. I didn't question him, though.
You suddenly felt a tickle in your throat and chest and realized you had to cough again. This had been happening for three days now; you were sick from lack of sleep and the very cold weather. You've had to cough multiple times but you stifled it so they didn't get worried or anything. If they knew I was sick, Cam might become that "overprotective dad" and send me home for some rest.
This time I kinda of twitched when I tried to stop the cough, and Mason must have noticed. "Uh, are you good? Or do you have Tourettes?" He laughed at himself.
"I'm fine, and we both know you're the one with Tourettes, you retard." You elbowed him in his side gently.
Out of nowhere, a hand was touching your forehead. It was Cam's.
"What the- Cam stop."
"You're extremely hot, (Y//N)," he argued.
"I know I am." you smirked.
Cam sighed. "That's not what I meant and you know it. You have a fever." He looked up at Mason. "You mind once we check in she stays in your room for awhile? She needs to rest."
"Jesus, Cam. I'm fine, really." you insisted. "And when did you become my dad?"
You felt an arm go around your shoulder, pulling you closer to their body. It was Mason.
"Sure thing, daddy Cameron." Mason then looked down at you and grinned with his eyes closed. You didn't argue about it anymore.
The whole way to the hotel, Mason was still holding you tight. He did this a lot, and you really didn't mind, but you knew it was just in a friendly way.
"Hey, Cam," Mason said as we got to the entrance to the hotel. "You should go pick up some McDonalds for us while I check in."
"Ok," He nodded. "While I'm out I can get her some medicine or something," he added, gesturing to me.
"For the last time I'm fin-"
You were cut off as Mason pulled you over inside the hotel. "Come on. Bye Cam." He waved back at Cam. He waved back at Mason as he headed in the direction of McDonald's.

After Mason checked in, you went over to the elevator and pushed the button.
When it opened, there was a lot of people, but just enough room for you and him to fit. You both stepped in and asked a lady to push our floor number, which she smiled and did so.
It was very tight, and you felt Mason breathing down your neck. He was very close behind you, which made you blush a little.
"Your face is very red," Mason suddenly whispered very quietly in your ear. "That fever must be bad."
Thank god he didn't know it was a blush.
The door opened and a man had to squeeze through to get off. He shoved Mason to the point where he was up against your back. You could feel him tense up, and you just stood there, a little stunned. But once the door closed, he moved away.
Finally, the doors opened to our floor and we stepped off.
"Oh god, that was awkward," Mason sighed as soon as the doors closed behind them.
"Tell me about it."
"Your face is still red," Mason stated, which made you tense up a bit. "Here."
Quickly, he held you bridal style and carried you to the room. He knew you hated this which is exactly why he was doing it.
"Put me down, Mason," you pouted.
"Nah, you looked like you were about to faint!"
You didn't struggle; you were too weak for that right now. You had to admit, the fever was getting pretty bad.

Mason put you down on the bed. You noticed there was only one bed, when hotel rooms usually had two. I guess he wasn't planning to have anyone else crash here.
"Cam should be here with the McDonalds soon," he addressed. He walked over to the other side of the bed to which you turned to look at him. He lay down next to you, which wasn't awkward because it's happened before. The only weird thing was that his face was a little closer than it should be to yours.
"For now, we can watch TV or something," he continued. He turned to look up at the screen and turned the TV on. While he was searching for channels, you continued to just stare at his face, admiring it for quite some time.
You soon dozed off and fell asleep.
MASON'S POV
Mason turned to (Y//N) to see her asleep. He stared a bit, taking in your face. He liked it. He liked her.
No, what am I thinking? She's just my friend.
But he couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to kiss her.
