Chapter 30

Sunday 2:36 am.

It's been 8 days since Jessie had gone and she was due back Friday coming. I'd never felt so lonely in a long while. We spoke but it wasn't the same nothing connected us like the feeling I got when I touched her. Work had been hell not hard just very very tiring. I wanted to sleep but I wanted to Skype Jessie more. I opened my laptop and let my eyes adjust to the light and began calling her. I worked out it was 10:36 am in LA now so she was up and ready.

"IZZI!"

"JESS!"

"Oh baby I've missed you so much!!"

"Not half as much as I've missed you!!"

"You look tired as fuck!"

"Been working long hours and my sleeping hasn't been very good, LA style looks good on you girl!"

"Just try resting! Thank you, I hope it looks okay!"

"I'm going round Rachel's tomorrow!"

"Aw Sunday roast?"

We chatted for about another hour and usually I would have slept then woke up and skyped her but I just stayed up so I was basically dead.

I woke up with a heavy head at 11:30 which had still only given me 8 hours sleep but it was worth it to see Jessie. I was due round Rachel's at 1:15 so I was gonna leave at 12:55. I chilled in bed for a little while with the tv on looking through Jessie's Instagram. I finally showered and got ready and just made it in time to leave.

Pulling up to Rachel's at 1:20 I became slightly nervous without having Jessie's hand linked in mine. I also hadn't been to Rachel's before but it would be a nice way to spend my day off. Her husband was on an emergency work thing so it was just me her and the two children who non-stop played the whole time me being there. Lunch was brilliant and the whole family must have mean cooking skills! We were now sat talking while the kids watched a movie.

"You look tired Izzi? Are you okay?"

"Work has been long hours and I haven't slept much but I'll be okay!"

"You sure? If you know need someone while Jessie isn't here, I'll be here!"

"Thank you Rach it means a lot! How's you been?"

"Yeah I've been good, all the kids ask about is Jessie!"

"Aw she loves then so much!"

"How do you feel about children?"

"I mean I haven't thought about it much until I began dating Jessie but being with Jess has made me think a lot more!"

"What do you think you look into?"

"I like the idea of adopting a baby you know so they really have a massive connection!"

"Yeah that makes sense, any time soon?"

"I think it'll be awhile you know Jessie's making album 3 so why rush, we're still young and that!"

I spent the night with Rachel talking about random stuff until I left and got home about 6:40. I was glad she had invited me out it took my mind off a lot. I spent the night doing little as possible to contain my energy. I went to bed early so I wouldn't be as tired in the morning. I had a meeting at 9 for an unknown reason I just got a call from my boss and I just hope the meeting isn't bad.

I got up and headed to my wardrobe picking out a black dress which sat on my knees which I thought looked good. I applied a layer of make-up which covered the horrendous bags under my eyes. I drove to work making a good time making it on time to my meeting.
