"He's awake. He's awake. He's awake"
ugh, different nights, same dream over again. i just can't get it off my mind. and the fact that writing him and sending him letters everyday has become a part of my routine makes me sad and happy at the same time. i just miss him. the old him.
Haileen texted and asked me where i am. i told her to meet me at the park. as soon as i got there, i saw her, she asked me what's wrong. "it's back again Leen" i said. "What's back?" she asked. "the 'He's awake' thing". "Oh...why can't you just tell him what really happened?" she furiously asked. "If i do, what will happen?" i replied. "you won't lose anything if you tell him Lara." "Yes i will, i'll lose him." i asnwered. "then what? it'll happen all over again? he'll forget about me again? but intentionally?. i won't let that happen Leen." i added. "Then what are you planning to do? Cry everynight? everyday? You can't keep doing that Lara, you know that" she emotionally said. She's right, i can't keep crying and do nothing, but i also can't tell Zach what happened. It'll ruin everything. Ugh, i don't know what to do anymore.
Days passed and everything at school has been normal. Haileen is still convincing me. Zach is still the same, just different from the Zach i know. My mind is still a mess despite the fact that our science teacher assigned us a project and the fact that i'm still thinking about "that". Oh shoot! It's already 8:45. I'm supposed to be home before 9. Shit! Time's ticking. I ran and just 2 more steps and i'll be at home already until...someone grabbed my hand and dragged me to his car, i think it's a he since his hair was short and parted. the man took off his mask and my heart skipped when i saw his face. Vheron, it was Vheron. Vheron was Zach's "exbestfriend". Zach ended their friendship because Vheron dated his sister. I remember when Vheron found out about Zach's sickness and didn't even said a thing, he just walked out the hospital and the last news i heard about him was, he flew to New York and built a bar. That's it, and i never heard nor saw him again. But can you believe he's here? right infront of me? Oh and haven't i mentioned that he was my ex too? He dated me before he dated Zach's sister, i broke up with him when i saw him kissing a girl in a bar. Zach beat him so bad. Anyways, he's here, and well, he is alive.
"Vheron?" i asked. "Lara. y-you–" he shuttered. Before he could even say anything, i cut him off. "Zach? yeah right, as if you care?" i said. "w-well, i d-do. where is he?" "He's at home and probably asleep already, so please just let me go home i have a curfew to ca–" i was cut off when i heard nothing, i heard nothing but our breathes. He stayed quiet, he felt so bad. "i do care Lara, and i still do." he sadly said. He did? Then why did he suddenly left?. "You do? Then why did you left without even updating us on your life.?" i furiously asked. "i was busy too Lara, not with girls, but i was busy trying to contact Zach. i was busy trying to find a way to fly back here in California to see you guys." he replied. Well, great. Now i feel bad, he was trying to find a way all those times? And us? We were busy backstabbing him. "Oh. Vheron were sor–" "Shh...it's nothing, it was my fault too."...His fault? What did he do? Is there still something we don't know?. Vheron? I know there's still something we don't know.
