Peter's POV

"How is she?"

That's the only question, or set of words my mind could render as important, ever since..

"Peter, I keep telling you, stay away from her room." I hear Jean telling me, slowly ushering me away from her closed door. Even though my head was tilted down, which is normal these days, I could tell Jean held a lingering stare towards the door. "I know. I'll.. be in the training room. On the treadmill. You know.. the usual." I quietly said, with a tone that should sound like I was joking or up to something, but with the current situation, I don't think anyone can sound anything more than sad.

Jean nods, and leaves quietly. I started towards her old room, passing by multiple students, including Hank. 'Hank..' I think, 'why are you allowed to go to her room?  No not only to her room, but in her room. I'm her boyfriend.. and he's just.. a friend.' Frustrated, I look up to see her old room. Closed like her current one. I breathe in deeply, and exhale shakily. I slowly walk towards her door, hands shaking, and eyes watering up.

creak..

Her old door creaks, a sad aura booming towards me as I see her room. Her scent is faint due to her absence, but it still remained, just barely though. Her bed is a mess, desk is littered with papers, and books with bookmarks poking out spread messily across the dusty floor. Everything seemed like time was frozen here, and only here. I could feel a chill come across my body as I took a few steps inside.

"If only I did something different. Then you would've been reading these abandoned books, and would still be giving me the bookmarks, for me to count the amount of book you've read.. Or you would've been napping with your body in the most confusing position, most probably on the floor.." I sadly sat in the middle of her mess of a room.  "I love you..." I chuckled lightly yet sadly, reaching up to gently hold the small fox stuff toy, from the foot of her bed, and cradle it in my lap. I look around, craning my head to see everywhere I could.

When I couldn't indulge myself with things to see in her room any longer, I looked down once more. "I remember this fox you know.." I whispered, tears blurring my eyes once more. "You found one like this on the floor.. next to some cats... and, you being you, said  'Damn... cats got to it first..' and ran all around the amusement park in search for another" I sniffled, clutching the fox towards my quivering frame. "You came back, hair everywhere, your outfit made it look like you came from a tornado.. but your face.." I hiccuped "Christ, your face.. it was shining so brightly as you held another fox in your hands. Your smile was just... blinding. You looked so adorably proud from finding this tiny fox.." tears fell slowly as I curled up with the fox.

"..er... ter.. Peter... wake up."

Eyes sore from crying, in a very unmanly way, and body extremely sore from curling up for too long, you can imagine how great my awakening was. It wasn't. "What..do you... want?" I rub my eyes, a few tear stains dry and still surprisingly damp, and look up to see Charles. 'What do you want now? Or are you here to scold me again?'

"I'm not here for any of that." Right. Telepathy. Scoffing at his remark, I sat up straight, leaning on her bed. It was darker now... probably around dinner time. "Then what are you here for?" I asked, irritated now that he invaded my thoughts. "I just wanted to say, that the reason why you couldn't go in her room is because she was unstable. Every time we brought the subject of you, she'd either cry, throw a fit or just went blank," I listened with a straighter back, now attentive with whatever he had to say afterwards. "We wanted to let you in, but.. when we did, a few weeks ago, the moment she saw you she threw a fit and knocked you out cold," after hearing that I touched the back of my head, wincing at the light pain that came after. "After that day, she didn't want to see you because she was scared to hurt you anymore."

'Of course... I can't blame her.. I'd do that if I knocked her out on sight..' "Now, after a lot of convincing, she's allowed you to visit her-" with a jolt I stood up and almost ran out to her current room, until Charles pulled me back. "Don't run. She'll know.. somehow... and she'll get scared from it, just don't. Just take it slow." I nodded. 'Anything for you, Y/n.'

The moment I came across the door, I immediately noticed the gold and silver poweder that seeped from under the door, and through the cracks of the door. "Wow... has it really been this way? I just.. never noticed..?" I asked myself.

"Maybe, we did agree that you are terrible in noticing details."

Emotions of every kind rushed through me as I turned around as fast as I can. Seeing her standing with a single crutch on her side... smiling.

"Like the fact that the mana was coming from behind you, not behind the d-"

With my speed, I ran towards her and scooped her up, enveloping her in my arms.

"You're here.. you're actually here! Jesus... I thought you wouldn't be out till next month!" I laughed as I put her down, gently wrapping my arms around her. She smiled up at me and said "Come on Peter, you really think I'd need that much time to heal?" Chuckling I felt some happy tears fall, "Well yeah?! You almost died in my arms!" She smiled again, "But who cares?! You're alive, and you're here! With me!" She chuckled again, nuzzling her face in my chest, making her chuckle muffled. Lifting her head to look at me, she asked.

"So, what did I miss?"
