It had only been two days since the store incident, and Veruca was still upset. She wasn't the type to get over something very easily.

Oleg sat in his office, tapping his pencil on the desk.
He was lost in his thoughts, and he had blocked out all noise that surrounded him.

He was coming to the conclusion that he made Veruca the way she is. He spoiled her, never disciplined her, and always gave in to her.
He felt like he had failed as a parent. He rubbed his eyes, snapping out of his thoughts and making his way to Veruca's room.

Veruca sat in her room, lost in her thoughts as well.
She jumped to the sound of her bedroom door being knocked on.
"Y-yes?" She stuttered.

"Verushka, it's papa. Can I come in?" Oleg asked.
There was no answer from Veruca for a few seconds, and then she finally spoke. "Yeah, I guess.." She backed away from the door nervously.

He opened the door, walking in slowly. "Hello, my little princess." He smiled at her. Veruca just stared at him, not saying a word.
" I'm so sorry." He sighed , moving closer to .

Veruca looked at him, frowning.
"All I wanted was pointe shoes, you didn't have to yell at me!"
He huffed. "That doesn't mean you needed to attack someone and scratch me."

She didn't answer and turned away from him.
"Verushka, I know it's been hard ever since the factory, and I know you're in pain." He sat next to her. "I'm coming to the realization that... It's both of our faults for what happened to you."

Veruca hissed. "You're saying it's my fault I was torn apart?!"
Oleg stuttered, still slightly scared of his daughter. "V-verushka.. It's my fault too, not just y-yours.."
her
Veruca raged, clutching her tutu. "You're still blaming it on me!" She shouted.
He sighed. "Verushka, please... I told you it's my fault too."
"IT'S ONLY YOUR FAULT, NOT MINE!" She screamed, her face grew red.

Oleg opened his mouth to speak, but gave up. He knew no matter what he said, she wouldn't listen.
He stood up and turned to leave.

"Papachicka!" She called.
He stopped in his tracks and sighed in annoyance. "Yes?"
"Fetch me a caramel frappuccino!"
"Fine." He murmured , and proceeded to leave.

Oleg came back with the frappuccino and made his way to Veruca's room.
Veruca opened the door and snatched the coffee from him. "What is this?!" She snapped.

"It's your caramel frappuccino..." He responded. "Is something wrong with it?"
" Yes! I wanted a Grande, not a tall! " She hollered. "GET ME A NEW ONE, NOW!"

Oleg backed away as he noticed her getting more furious by the second.
Suddenly, she threw the coffee to the floor, causing it to spill everywhere. "I WANT IT NOW!"

Oleg gasped, looking at Veruca in shock and fear. "I'll...g-get you a new one." He rushed to clean the coffee up and hurried out the door.

He returned with her coffee and went up to her room, handing it to her.
She stared at it for a second, checking if it was exactly what she wanted.

"Papachika, does this look like EXACTLY what I wanted?" Veruca scowling
Oleg avoided eye contact with her in fear. "Yes..isn't it?"

" NO, IT ISN'T! " She squealed and squeezed the cup in rage.
The coffee was now all over the floor, and the cup was scrunched up.

She went over to Oleg, grabbed him by his tie, and pulled him down to her height.
" FETCH ME A NEW ONE! NOW, NOW, NOW!" She shrieked and stomped her feet. She threw herself to the floor and cried.

He ran downstairs, but accidentally bumped into one of the new maids. "I apologize, ma'am!"
The maid stopped him.

"Sir, are you really going to let your daughter treat you like this?" She raised her eyebrow.

Oleg stood there, not knowing what to say. "I-I already yelled at her once, and I feel horrible...so I'm never gonna do it again."
The maid frowned. "Mr. Salt, you must show her that what she is doing is wrong!"

He gulped. "But...I love her too much, and I don't wanna yell at her. When I yelled at her at the store, I didn't mean to...it just came out."

The maid sighed. "If you really love your daughter, then you need to stop spoiling her, but if you're not gonna listen to me, then that's not my problem." She turned back around and continued her work.

"Blame her nut job of a father"
Those were the words that repeated in his head.
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and walked up to Veruca's room.

He opened the door.
Veruca's face was bright red, tears were streaming down her face, and she was still screaming. "NOW!"

Oleg bent down to her. "Veruca, stop it right now ." He said in a serious tone.
Veruca looked at him and growled. "First he yells at me in a store, and now he's telling me to stop! Who does he think he is?!" She thought to herself.

She screamed in his face. "SHUT UP AND OBEY ME!"
She started trying to throw hands at him, but he grabbed her arms and held them away from his face.
"Veruca! You need to stop walking all over me! " He raised his voice, still holding her arms down.

She continued to scream. Oleg took a deep breath, trying his best not to loose his temper.

Veruca tried to get out of his grip. "LET GO OF ME, NOW!"
He looked her in the eyes. "I'll let go if you stop screaming."

" JUST LET ME GOOO! " She squealed, kicking her feet.

Oleg bit his lip nervously, and said the word he had never said to Veruca before.
"No."

Veruca suddenly stopped fighting, and looked at him. "W-what?" She whimpered.

He looked away, feeling guilty. He finally let go of her..
