It was 4pm when Moani pulled up infront of her cosy little home. She was an only child and her parents loved to spoil her rotten hence the amazing building. There was a nice little backyard with rows of marigolds, bluebells, daisies and even pansies. There was also two swings out back and the porch had a swing chair.AJ could hardly keep the astonished look off her face.
"Never gets old," sighed Reese.
"You like?" Mo asked her bestie.
She nodded with an odd expression on her chocolate colored face. Her dark eyes literally sparkled behind her frames and her lips formed an 'o' in wonder. Tiny tendrils of her curly black hair framed her face despite the hairband holding it back.
"It's all so quaint and perfect," she smiled contently.
Moani laughed at her friend's expression before ordering them to start unpacking the luggage from the trunk. Her black curls were left in a twist out constantly flitting over her glasses. Her perfectly manicured fingers snapped in anticipation.
"Yes ma'am," Reese's blue eyes sparkled in mockery.
They picked the bags and headed inside. Moani opened a closet and directed them to put them in there so it would be easier to pick up when AJ left to the college's flats.
"How 'bout you kids go outside and play whiles I whip up some dinner," Moani suggested.
"We aren't kids," they said in unison sticking their tongues out at her.
"Jinx! Jinx again!" They yelled trying to out do each other.
She shook her head at their antics. "Why do I even have to bother to explain?"

"Okay so where exactly in Africa are you from?" Reese asked. They were out sitting on the swings in the backyard.
"Ghana in west Africa, it's along the coast. How 'bout you? Which part of  Cera are you from?"
"Fitzill, it's in the southern part of Cera."
"So have you ever left Cera?"
"Yeah, we visited the Eiffel Tower when I was 10 and we went to Venice last summer to visit my grandmother." Reese got up from the swing and turned to face AJ.
"Let's do this, full name, siblings, favorite color and then let's have a duel in the arts. That okay?" He asked
"Okay me first. Allison-Jordyn Adwoa Blake, older brother, blue and yellow. Your turn," she said.
"Reese Jamie Parker, older brother and a younger sister, red. Now let the arts begin." Reese got into a fighting stance, his brown hair strewn on his head was one with the wind and his fair skin was tense with anticipation.
"Try not to go easy on me," AJ said as she got ready.
They hit at each other and suddenly Reese was on the floor.
"Hey I was going easy. Rematch." He stood up.
"Fine," AJ consented.
They started again. This time Reese had AJ in an arm lock and his heart began to beat faster. Before he could ask himself what was happening, AJ had out twisted her arm and down he went. Again.
"I win, thank the Lord!" She shouted.
"Fine, help me up," grumbled Reese. He stretched his arm and AJ pulled him. She let go as soon as he was up.
"Come on, Moani should have finished the dinner by now."
