It had been years and years now, Chen had since graduated and has not seen Xiumin in person since the day he transferred schools. Xiumin was always in the back of his mind because he decided that he would work hard to graduate and use his popularity to find Xiumin. Everyday Chen would tag Xiumin's instagram on his posts in hopes that he would maybe get a comment on it from the older. But to no avail... Chen's heart felt weak. Maybe Xiumin hates him after what he did or maybe he was just busy? The possibilities were endless and it hurt his head to think about it.
Xiumin, on the other hand had graduated and always remembered Chen, the sorrowful kiss that they shared right before his bus left was embedded in his mind on replay. He decided to lay low to surprise his... best friend? Idol? Lover? He wasn't sure what to consider Chen anymore. But all he knew was that Chen was in for a big surprise and that he was ready to see Chen again, even if for a second.
Chen walked into his company's building groggily. He had a bad week, bad dreams, bad luck, and bad memories. His dreams consisted of him losing Xiumin one way or another whether it be finding Xiumin with someone else, finding Xiumin and all he does is leave him again, and worse, Xiumin dying. He had woken up crying because of some of his dreams. His bad luck was mostly unfortunate events like going on a date night with his family and being bombarded by fans, falling off of his bike, being attacked by birds, you name it and it probably happened. The memories were whatever bad ones he had of Xiumin so basically just when they argued and the big fight right before Xiumin's departure. The only good thing about that memory was the kiss and priceless look on the older's face.
'This day will only get worse' Chen thought to himself as he was bumped into by someone.
"Hey watch i-...t..." Chen's eyes widened
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't see you there, there's no need to be rude." Chen's jaw about fell to the floor, he was in his company's building, standing face-to-face with a smirking, and even hotter, more mature Xiumin.

OKAY BUT HIS BLACK AND CURLY HAIR KILLS ME I LOVE IT SO MUCH (HE'S ALSO ADORABLE WITH ANY COLOR OF THE RAINBOW THAT HE CHANGES HIS HAIR TO. HE'S ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO COULD OWN ANY COLOR TBH) Also sorry for the shorter chapter ... As I mentioned earlier that Chen got attacked by birds... I MAYYYY have possibly added that because I've been attacked like 3 times now by those dumb red-winged black birds. They are mean little suckers that attack you even when you aren't even close to their nests so stay safe y'all.
