(hi there. Author here. Sorry how long its been. Its been months but heres the second part lol.)
After the coffee date, the four began hanging out more. days passed. Then weeks. And soon months.
Logan didn't understand love. He ever thought about romance or being with someone before Patton. Now he couldn't imagine a life without him. Roman and Virgil's companionship was great and all but now that he knew Patton, he felt like his eyes had finally been open. He still didn't understand love, but he felt it. Finally.
After he'd met Patton, he felt there must've been a reason. A reason he dropped his books when and where he did. It didn't all feel like coincidence. It felt like fate. No. It was fate. Logan knew that for sure.
Patton felt the same way. He believed in fate for a long time of his life. Especially after he watched one of his favorite movie Serendipity. Patton had already noticed Logan before he dropped his books. He'd noticed his bright, intelligent eyes. He'd noticed his soft, gentle features. Patton had a crush on him for so long, but always tried to ignore it. Roman has tried to get them together for a while. But they were never together at a proper time or place.
And then one day, he dropped his books. Such a simple thing. Could've happened to anyone. But it just seemed more like fate then anything else. Like the red string had finally brought them together.
"Logan," Patton said to him as they were sitting on a small hill staring at the setting sun on day. it was on of those days that wasn't at all too hot or too cold. A gentle breeze blew the leaves on the tall trees. Logan looked at Patton with curious, thoughtful ocean eyes. Patton took a deep breath. "Do you love me?"
Logan suddenly grew stiff. he looked at his hand that was on top of Patton's. He rubbed his thumb on his palm. Patton began to feel panic. "Forget i said anything," he said quickly. "It was stupid, I--" before Patton could say anymore, Logan brought him into a kiss.
Patton was shocked but quickly melted into his lips. When they parted, Logan stared at him. He adjusted his glasses. "Before I met you, I didn't know a lot about love. There was a time where I'd thought I'd never feel love or fall in love. And I'd accepted that. Then you showed up." Patton felt butterflies in his stomach and his face heat up. Logan continued, "I'd never felt anything like it. You make me feel happier. You make me wanna be a better person. I can't explain it, other than..." Logan locked eyes with Patton and Patton felt like the world had stopped. Wind blew threw the trees. Clouds shifted in the pink and purple sky. The sun was low and touched the horizon. "To answer your question, Patton. Yes. I love you." Logan finished.
And Patton had never been happier.
