Chapter 18: Revealed

Roxanne

I flew towards the bank witch was being robbed. Patrick were right. It went a lot faster flying trough the subway tunnels. All though I might have scared the shit out of some passengers on a few trains. Soon I was at the bank. The robbers were just about to leave when I stood in their way.

-Stop right there. Get back inside and return what you stole, I said serious.

The guys with balaclavas laughed at me and shoot bullets at me. But they just shoot trough me and left me unharmed. I crossed my arms and glared at the guys.

-Return what you stole from the bank or I'll teach you a lesson.

-We're not afraid of some super freak! One of them yelled and ran up to me.

I let him pass through me. Just as he passed trough my body I grabbed the bag with probably money. Then I grabbed his wrist and threw him on the ground.

-Who are you? One of the robbers asked.

-The name's Ghost Diamond and you guys are in a lot of trouble, I said and ran towards them. Damn I always wanted to say that!

They once again tried to shoot me. It didn't end well for them. The bullets just passed right trough me. And when I reached them I easily disarmed them with a few karate moves. I clapped my hands so the dust would fall of. Behind me I heard how someone fell. I turned around and saw Slowmo disarming a robber and then he threw the robber on the ground.

-I knew he was there, I lied.

-Sure, He said sarcastically.

I remembered that me as Ghost Diamond and Slowmo ain't friends. So I float up in the air and flew away. I noticed how Slowmo tried to follow me. So I turned invisible and flew towards the subway.

-That actually went pretty well, Patrick said as I walked inside.

-Didn't you expect it to?

-No, not really.

I just sighed and took of my mask.

-Give me your mask, Patrick said as he tapped on his computer.

-Why? I asked and handed him my mask.

-Have you seen the Iron Man movies?

-Nope

-Well I'm basically gonna put a little computer in your mask with a comradio to me.

-Okay. You do that and I fly around town and see if anyone needs help, I said and begun to walk of.

-No you're not. You have a math test on friday. Go home!

-But....

-No buts go home and study.

I rolled my eyes and walked out. He was right I needed to study. So I headed home.

Cameron

I was looking at Roxy's high-rise. Maybe I should talk to her. Her parents and brothers wasn't home so she was probably bored out right now. I was just about to jump over to her balcony as Ghost Diamond appeared just a few meters away from Roxy's balcony. My eyes widened and I immediately jumped over. Ghost Diamond had already entered. Don't worry Roxy I'm coming!

Roxanne

I walked inside my room and headed downstairs to unlock the door then I pulled of my wig as I was about to walk back upstairs. That's when I saw Slowmo standing down the stairs. He looked at me in shock.

-Hey....I said a bit nervous.

-Y-you're Ghost Diamond? He asked.

-Whaaat? Nooo....I....I'm just wearing this as....as a cosplay, I lied.

-Roxanne Adams what the actual fuck!?

-Yeah umm....I should've told you about my powers....but....um....I promised Patrick not to tell anyone.

-How long have you known about your powers?

-N-not long. The day after I came hom from the hospital.

-The hospital? Oh no, no, no, no! She did not do this to you to!! Slowmo half yelled.

-Who? Who is she?

Slowmo looked at me and shook his head.

-Slowmo who is she? Do you know how I got these powers?

-Yes. And I'm gonna make sure you get back to normal, he said as if that was what I wanted.

-Don't, I said and walked up to him.

-Don't what?

-Don't you dare take away my powers.

-You don't understand. Having powers isn't cool, it isn't safe. It has a price.

-No I know this has a price and honestly I couldn't care less. Because now I got an actual chance to help people. We live in Trowtruck city and people are scared to walk outside at night. But I wanna make sure they're not scared.

Slowmo shook his head.

-It isn't just some game. The price isn't just showing up late for school, getting shoot. It costs lifes, friendship and family. If I could go back in time and make sure I don't get powers I would. But I can't.

-No but you don't have to go back in time. You can quit being Black Turtle and stop using your powers. But yet here you stand, in a mask.

-As long as you have your powers you, your family and friends are in danger.

-Okay that's it! You! My Dads! And my brother treat me like I am a defenseless little five year old girl! But I am not! Yes I am scared sometimes! Yes I bleed and Yes I sometimes talk to strangers! But I am fully capable of taking care of my own shit!!

-I-I'm sorry. I didn't know you felt that way, I just don't want you to get hurt.

-And you think I want to get hurt? No! But I have to be able to make mistakes. I am gonna cry some nights and I am gonna bleed. I know you wanna keep me safe. But I can't be protected from living my life.

Black Turtle didn't even look at me. He just starred down on his feet.

-You should go, I said with a cold voice.

-What? He asked and looked me in the eyes.

-You heard me, I said and crossed my arms.

I held back my tears as he starred deep into my soul. He suddenly disappeared and I felt how a single tear streamed down my cheek.
