"So it doesn't matter. You stopped caring a long time ago Tyler," she said smiling up at him. He could tell it was strained if not all together fake. She turned away from him and walked away from him, not once looking back.
Watching her walk away from him, it put a knife through his heart. He knew it was his fault. He abandoned her nine years ago. He understood why she was walking away from him, but it didn't stop the pain that flooded his heart when she took off in her beat up F-150. If only he knew the truth behind that fake smile in her eyes...
