Chapter 5

Toni's POV

Three days had passed with no more surprises from the F.E.A.R. facility. Jinxx asked me to meet him at the place where they keep extra supplies. I was confused at why, but excited. Of course, when I told the girls, they freaked out and decided to help me dress for it. Inna insisted that I wore some tight fitting ripped jeans and Juliet picked out a grey tank top with the Wild Ones logo painted on the front with black paint; I insisted on my converse and in the end, the outfit looked great.

"I'm not sure this is necessarily....a date." I said.

Anna shook her head as she finished up brushing my hair out, "But you hope it is....and it most definitely is!"

I laughed and responded, "I thought I was the one with the mind reading?" She finished my hair and I looked at myself in one of the broken mirrors the girls had hanging up. I looked pretty good.

Juliet smiled and said, "Now go!"

I waved and stepped out into the night; even though the sun was not out, it was still pretty hot. I paused outside of the supply building. A date? A quick talk with one of my best friends? Let's find out.

I stepped into the room. It was dark and dusty, but there was a broken window higher up in the corner of the building letting in the moonlight. There were shelves full of weapons and boxes filled with food, bandages, and other things. Jinxx stood leaning against the shelf. I sense he was trying to seem cool.

I grinned and said, "You know......Ashley leans against things to try and seem cool....but you don't need to....you already are the coolest." He smiled and stepped away from the shelf and gave me a hug.

"I like your shirt Toni." He said.

He was so nervous. "Thanks.....but you didn't ask me here to talk about my shirt.....why did you ask me here?"

He took my hand and said, "I was helping organize the supplies in here...and I found a pile of old clothes....."

He pulled away from me and took a leather jacket out of an open box. "I think...you should have this..."

I took the jacket and looked at it...it looked like a normal jacket..I then looked at the small tag on the inside........there in her chicken scratch that only I seemed to be able to read...was the name Hope. I felt tears in my eyes and Jinxx's arms around me.

"Thank you...." I said into his chest.

I pulled away and placed the jacket on; it fit like a glove. I sensed Jinxx's thoughts and decided that I would give love a try. "Hey," I started, "If you want to kiss me...go for it."

Then, he had me in his arms and time seemed to slow as our lips grew closer...closer....closer. Electricity seemed to surge through me as our lips collided. It was like they were made for each other..like we were made for each other.

Then, our lips separated. "That was...." He started.

"Absolutely perfect." I finished.

He nodded and said, "This was only part of the reason I asked you out here tonight."

"I sensed as much." I responded.

He grinned and said, "I thought you might.....the guys and I were talking and....you are a sister to them now and........I love you......the girls adore you......and they were okay with..."

"Am I a Fallen Angel?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"You are." He responded then he kissed me again.

He pulled away and said, "Let's head to the Hall. Everyone is waiting; we're having a sort of party. Andy calls them concerts like from the old world..we play music."

I nodded and took his hand as we went to the hall.

Inside, Juliet, Anna, Inna, the boys, and all of the warriors were packed into the space, cheering. Juliet, Anna, and Inna stepped forward and took my hands and held them high and Andy called out, "Let's hear it for the Fallen Angels!" Everyone erupted in applause. Jinxx grinned at me as he clapped and I returned a smile.

"Alright!", Andy called, "Let's get this party started." Then the boys stepped onto a part of the floor. The girls jumped up too and pulled me along up there too. We stood to the side as they began to play instruments.

Their first song was amazing and I felt tears in my eyes. "What's wrong, Toni?" Anna asked, placing a hand on my shoulder.

I smiled and answered, "This is the first time I've heard music....besides Hope singing to me when I was younger."

Anna smiled and we danced with Juliet and Inna throughout the entire concert. The boys finished the last song and they were very sweaty but nevertheless, I hugged Jinxx with all my might as did the other girls to their man. "That was amazing." I said, Jinxx's arm around me.

Juliet smiled and added, "They are always magnificent."

Andy smiled and gave her a quick peck on the lips.

"I really liked the last song." I said.

"That's my favorite too....Fallen Angels....us." Anna said.

I nodded. That's when Jasper came up to us, tears filling his eyes, "D-Destiny....."
