Werewolf: Love and War

Chapter 5: Nathan's PoV

I got into a flannel and some jeans. I throw on a coat, white like my wolves coat. Only alpha's have white coats. I look in my body mirror and look at myself. My maids all stare at me.

I smile at them. "My mate wouldn't like your staring, maids. She is the reason you all are fired when she comes tonight. Do you have the bed made? Good. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, you can leave and don't come back until me and my mate say."

I watch as they empty out. I smile and look at the clock. 5:45 pm. If I run in wolf form I can be there in forty six seconds.

I did exactly that.

I knock on the door to their house. In my hand I hold three roses I picked up on the way here.

"Yes?" A woman answers the door.

I smile, this must be Shai's mother.

"I'm Nathan," I smile. Her eyes wide and her head lowers.

"Right." She says.

"Its okay, ma'am, you don't have to bow. I am here for your daughter." I smile. She smiles. "Oh, and I got this for you." I give her one of the roses. I picked off all the thorns.

"Aw! Thank you! You are such a gentleman!" She says. I blush a bit.
"Come on in!" She says.

I now and take a step inside the house. It is warm in here, and it smells of oak. Kind of like Shai. Shai smells of firewood and strawberries.

I look around and see a big couch around a long book shelf. There is a fire burning in the fireplace. There is an opening without a door, that's leads to what I thijnk is the kitchen. There is also a big staircase. The walls are a tan color. The staircase is white carpet. There is black carpet under my shoes.

I hear footsteps and notice Shai's mom is gone. I look at the staircase and down comes the most gorgeous girl in the world.

She had a braid in her hair across her shoulder. She wore a spaghetti strap blood red dress, that went to her knees. She wore netting under her dress. Her dress had a slit so when she walked it showed almost her whole thigh. God, she was gorgeous. She smiles at me and hurried down the stairs. She hurries across the room. Her shoes were flats, blood red, matching her dress.

She slowed as she came over to me. "Hey, handsome." She smiles at me.

"Why do you have to be so gorgeous? Where did you get this?" I ask her.

"Um... actually, me and Cassy where out shopping for her wedding, and we stumbled across this. I told her I'd never wear it, but she bought all of it for me, anyway." She smiled.

"You are the most gorgeous werewolf in the world." I smile at her. She blushes and leans in to kiss me, but...

Then, Piper runs in. She giggles and jumps on me. I laugh a little and pull away from her embrace.

"I got you something." I smile at her. She grins at me. I lean down to her size.

"What is it?" She asks.

"Close your eyes."

She does. I put one of the roses in her hair. She laughs when it tickles her ear.

"Open up, kiddo!" I say. She sqeals and opens her eyes. Shai comes over and kisses her sisters cheek.

"I have to go, girl-o. Love ya!" Shai smiles. Piper nods. I stand up and look at Shai.

Shai nods to me. "I'm out, mom!"

"Wait- he is here? Let's talk!" I hear a man yell. I can't help but growl.
