Lovestruck

Chapter 1

Tori's POV
I know it's real, what I feel.
And you can't take it away from me.
So just let it be, just let it be.
"That's all I could come up with? I'm loosing my touch Liv!" I dramatically say to my Bestfriend on FaceTime, as we both struggle to get ready for the last day of 11th grade.
"All morning and those three lines have just been on replay in my head, but nothing else comes to my damn mind. Ughhh sometimes songwriting can be so stressful." I rant as I begin to put on a pair of light wash skinny jeans.
"Well we all know who it's about, I mean you've had a crush on Kevin forever, and nobody will leave it alone. Maybe you just need to make that the bridge, and in third period I can help you come up with an upbeat chorus to go with it." Liv calmly suggests as she's finishing her makeup. "All of my songs are about Kevin, I can't help it, I wish I could! He made it perfectly clear he doesn't want to be with me, but for some god forsaken reason he's still on my damn mind. I mean shit, how desperate can a girl be?" I shout as I pull my red crop top sweater over my head.
"Oh and liv? Third period should be fine to work on the song, just sit next to me in study hall. Im gonna make breakfast, and I have to grab Jess on the way to your house, so I'll be there in 40. See ya soon girly." I chirp as I hang up the phone. I'm just about ready, all I need to do is my hair and some light makeup. I took a shower last night, and my hair is still damp so I just leave it down. My chestnut brown curls land right above my waist as I admire my hair in the mirror. I glance at my phone and realize it's 6:45, and I have to leave soon, so I quickly put on some mascara, natural looking eyeshadow, foundation, a nude lipstick, and gold highlight. I slip on my white low top converse, and declare I'm ready for the day.
As I'm walking down the stairs, I shoot Jess a "hey I'll be there in 20" text and pour myself a bowl of fruit loops. When I'm done, I quickly wash my bowl and dart out of the house. As I'm driving to Jessie's house I decide to blast some NKOTB to officially wake me up. I put on "If You Go Away" and I swear to you, I died and came back to life when I heard Joey's voice. Hot damn that child is perfect, I just wanna thank his parents for making such a damn God.
Before I know it, I'm at Jessie's and she's getting in the passenger seat, sheepishly smiling at me. She looks extremely bomb today. She's wearing khaki skinny jeans, a white crop top, and low top grey converse. Her wavy blonde hair ends just above her shoulders, and it looks perfect. But that's no surprise, it always looks perfect. When I'm done admiring her hair, my thoughts go back to Joey. I wonder if he gives good hugs... Is he a good kisser? Wait.... of course he is, he's Joey😉. As if on cue, Jess snaps me out of my thoughts and starts off on her Donnie rant. It's kind of her routine, but it's different everyday, so it makes it a bit entertaining.
"Yes!! This is the perfect way to start off the morning! I bet you right now, whatever Donnie is doing in the world... he's looking sexy as fuck doing it. How the hell is it fair for him to walk the earth??! It's not Tori, it's just not!!" Jess declares.
"I don't know Jess, why don't you ask God? Maybe he's got some answers for you?" I manage to get out through my loud laughing.
"Hahaha very funny Tor, God you're so sarcastic." Jess says pretending to be annoyed, but we all know she thought it was funny.
By the time we're done obsessing, we get to Liv's house. She sends me a text saying she'll be out in a minute, and I decide to put on "Funny Feeling" by the New Kids, because honestly who doesn't love a little Joedan in their day??
Finally Liv comes out, she's wearing black skinny jeans, a grey off the shoulder shirt, and black sandals. Her dark brown hair is up in a messy bun, and her makeup looks really good, we all look pretty fantastic today. Once it registers in Liv's mind what song is playing, she smiles from ear to ear and starts singing Jordan's part. Pretty soon everyone is singing and we get to school right as the song ends. I park my car, and realize we made it to school with 10 minutes before first period, so we all agreed to go find Kayla and Rose. We have to discuss what to pack for the beach house, and it's pretty urgent, considering we're leaving tomorrow. I'm still in disbelief that our parents even trusted us enough to let us stay at the beach house for the entire summer. This summer is gonna be epic and I don't plan on it being anything else, I'm so ready for the late night talks, bonfires, the beach, and the songwriting.
I realize we found Kayla and Rose when I snap out of my thoughts, and remember that today is still school. I still have to be responsible for one more day... ughhh. After my little meltdown I give each of them a hug, and compliment their outfits. Kayla is wearing a white knee length dress with lace designs, and mid length sleeves. Her blonde curly hair flows down her back, and she starts laughing when Jess decides to fill her in on the Donnie rant of the day. Rose looks stunning today as well, her curly hair is up, and she's also wearing a summer dress. It's similar to Kayla's, but it's navy blue and it doesn't have sleeves. After we all get caught up for the day, and agree we're gonna meet up later today to discuss packing and who's driving with who to the beach house, we all go our separate ways to class.
