Rejection

Her heart was as fragile as glass

Yet, you shattered it, like it was nothing.

She was inoccent and kind

But, you didn't see that side of her.

She was a friend of yours.

Too bad, you didn't see her as more than that.

One night, she told you how she felt.

She was rejected but, she said she was fine.

You knew she was hurting inside

But, you stayed silent.

You said you would stay friends

But, it wasn't the same as before.

She smiled at you in the hall

But, in her eyes showed pain and loneliness.

Something about her today seemed different.

It seemed off.

By the end of the day,

You found out why she seemed off.

It's because she was gone forever.

And it was all your fault.
