"Lily! Where did u put my shirt?" I could hear my mother's stressed voice from downstairs.
Ugh, I hated it when people wake me up during the summer. Can't they bother someone else?
I rolled over and closed my eyes falling back asleep.
"Lily, don't make me come up there!" She yelled again.
"I put it on your dresser!" I screamed back at her and then laid down, trying to get back asleep again.
My door swung open revealing my mother standing in the doorway with a basket of laundry and a frantic look in her eye.
"If it was on my dresser don't you think I would have seen it?" I sighed rolling out of bed. I wasn't getting anymore sleep today.
I walked past her into her bedroom, expecting her to follow me. When she didn't I turned around and said "Come on." She put the basket down before walking toward me.
I walked over to her dresser, and there right on top was the shirt I had borrowed yesterday.
"See, right where I said I left it." I walked past her before she could respond, and headed downstairs for breakfast.
"Lil, someone texted you." My little sister was holding my phone, a smug smile on her lips.
"Sam, give me my phone." Her smile grew wider as she bolted out of the kitchen and away from me.
I sprinted after her. "When I catch you, your going to wish you were never born!"
She ran around the couch, and into the office.
"Kids stop running!" My mom yelled from the top of the stairs.
"She has my phone!" I yelled back and continued to chase after her.
"Samantha give Lily her phone back." She used her "adult" voice, which could scare any child under the age of ten.
Sam dropped my phone and ran up stairs to her room. I ran over and grabbed my phone, instantly making sure nothing was broken.
I had a text from Tiffany
Tif- hey, we should hang today. Maybe the pool??
I quickly answered
Me-ya, let me ask the monster
I smiled as i typed in monster. Monster had been a nick-name for our moms since sixth grade. It was just something that stuck with us.
"Hey, monste- mom, can I go to the pool with Tiffany? Pretty please?" I giggled to myself at my close slip.
"If you promise to wear sunscreen."
I squealed"Thank you! I promise!" I ran up to my room to get ready.

"So what happened at the mall yesterday? Bridget said you got someone's digits!" We were walking past the pool to the crappy plastic chairs so we could put our stuff down. I took off my shorts and tank top.
"Yeah, some guy gave me a card with his number written on the back. Pretty lame huh?" I said this casually, but smiled inwardly at the memory.
"Oh my god! He just walked up and gave you his number?" She had stopped what she was doing and was looking at me with her mouth open.
"Yes, he told me to call him."
"And did you?" She was smiling now.
"No! I didn't even know him!" I yelled, my cheeks warming at the thought.
She smirked and put her hand out "Give me his number." I pulled the card out my pocket in my shorts, which was quite difficult since I wasn't wearing them. I handed her the card.
She took out her phone and began to copy the number on the card. She glanced up at me, as of remembering that I was still there.
"I like your swimsuit by the way." She looked back at her phone and began to type something.
"Thanks, I got it at Victoria Secret! I wasn't sure if I really liked it." Without looking up from her phone she said "Well it's cute."
I smiled looking down at my pink bikini.
Tiffany turned off her phone and smiled. "Let's get in!" She turned and began to run for the deep end before getting yelled at by a lifeguard. I laughed at her child like behavior.

We were sitting out tanning after swimming, when I noticed a couple of tan boys checking out Tiffany.
"Tif, those guys are checking you out!" She sat up and took off her glasses, scanning the pool area for boys.
Once she saw them she paused and said "Lily, those boys are looking at you." I looked back toward the area I saw the guys and sure enough they were looking at me. I blushed and one of the guys winked. I looked away.
"Wow, guys just can't get enough of you!" She laughed looking back at the guys.
Just then my phone buzzed, I grabbed it and turned it on to my lock screen. It was a cute picture of my dog Sally. I had a text. It wasn't from any if my contacts, just a number.
I opened my phone to read it.
326-544-2425-hey, r u the girl from the mall?
My jaw dropped. How did he get my number? And why was he texting me?
My thoughts were interrupted by a male voice.
"Hey."
