Oh hey would you look at that. I finically updated. I've been working on this story forever and not even because it's long I just have been so busy I couldn't finish it. Gonna be slow to update for a few weeks again. But here is gone to hold you guys over for a little bit. I think it turned out well. Hope you all like it.
Liam trudged into school looking down at the ground. The cool autumn air hit his face making him feel chillier than he already did. He walked into the brightly lit cafeteria and winced as both the light and the noise did nothing for his throbbing head. He walked over to his friends sitting down not having the energy to look at them or even speak.
"Morning Payno," Niall beamed happily.
"Hey," Liam managed to squeak out. His friends all turned at looked at him.
"You don't look so good Li," Niall started looking his friend up and down. Liam shrugged knowing full well he probably looked as terrible as he felt.
"What's up Payno?" Louis asked studying his face. Liam's stomach gave a nauseating twist causing him to shiver.
"Don't feel good," Liam explained. The three boys looked at him sadly.
"What doesn't doesn't feel good lad?" Louis asked. Liam took comfort in knowing his friends were so concerned about him.
"I'm sick to my stomach. Got a massive headache. I'm cold and achy all over."
"Sounds like the flu," Niall chimes in. Liam just nodded rubbing down his arms that were now covered in goosebumps. Harry gently put the back of his hand on Liam's forehead and sighed.
"Definitely a fever," Harry told the group.
"Why did you come in today?" Louis asked skeptically. Liam shrugged.
"My parents really didn't give me much of a chance to tell them I was feeling ill before they shoved me out the door," Liam explained. Liam's stomach turned over making him suppress the urge to gag. The three boys took notice right away.
"You're not gonna puke are you?" Niall asked cautiously. He wasn't the best with vomit. Liam shook his head. Louis and Harry both moved in closer to him.
"Maybe Lou should take you home mate. You really aren't well," Harry suggested. Louis being the oldest in the group was the only one at the time who could drive.
"There's still time! I wouldn't even be late for first period if we left now," Louis urged. Liam still shook his head.
"I think I'll be alright," Liam told them. The others were not convinced.
"Liam I don't think," Harry started
"I said I was fine. Drop it!" Liam snapped. Seeing the look on his friends faces made him feel terrible. Harry looked down at the table, Niall darted his eyes away as to not meet Liam's gaze but Louis didn't break eye contact.
"Come on mate that's really not fair. We're just trying to look out for you," Louis told him in a tone that both told Liam he was concerned but also not to pull the same stunt with him. Liam sighed and nodded.
"I'm sorry Hazza. I didn't mean it," Liam told him sadly. Harry smiled a little and nodded. The warning bell rang signaling it was time to get to home room. None of the boys had homeroom together. They walked silently to their lockers and gathered their books before setting off in different directions.
Liam was in a considerable amount of pain by the time lunch rolled around. He's left class once around to throw up which only made the pounding in his head worse. He walked slowly into the cafeteria trying to fight off the dizziness as best he could. He must've looked worse than he had that morning because as soon as Louis saw him he jumped up and rushed over to him.
