Unrealistic Expectations

Prologue

Individuals are born into this world unique, in their own ways. A person's characteristics are never made to be in the exact form as another, why?, you may ask. Well, how monotonous would societies be, if individuals pursued the same dreams, expressed ideas in the same way and followed the same path only leading to the same destination? How much would we honestly achieve in life, following in the shadows and tracing the footsteps of everyone in society? 

Nurture plays a major role in the growth of a child. The exposure to society's expectations creates a mindset, where the individual strives to become what is most 'accepted' in the population. Whether it be a music, clothing or cosmetic trend, children admire the fame and set unrealistic goals, quite frankly, difficult to reach.

Not only does this world-wide issue increase through time, it has caused individuals to suffer from depression and isolation due to a realisation of unrealistic goals. Children should not have to feel inadequate within themselves but instead accept the people they are and the personality they are born with.
