The next week was hectic at work, with 3 different worldwide projects to analyze, while also trying to find a strategy to overrun the 2nd diamond producing company in the world, as it had been Dimitrios' plan for the last few months. He was getting bored of being in top 3, he wanted to be number one. And for that, hundreds of employees had to pull their hairs out trying to come up with new, more innovative solutions and strategies.

Among those employees was also Ana, who hadn't seen or heard anything of the big, bad CEO for the last week. She was thankful for it, because that single, dubious encounter left its mark on her. She couldn't help but think about him for the whole weekend, secretly fantasizing that he would just come down to her office one of those days, apologizing for being an ass and asking her to restart work on her analysis of the situation and Botswana, come up with solutions.

Yep, she was definitely gone in the fantasy world, because in the real world, there was no way Dimitrio Diamantis would ever change his mind or preoccupy himself with the little employees that make very little of the success he had.

Despite not seeing each other for the past week, what really united them was their mutual attraction for each other, which had sparkled that night and inevitably made them wonder about one another. While Ana tried to get him out of her head, blaming it on the fact that she wasn't used to being treated that way or feeling defeated, he was trying to consume his very primitive needs for his particular employee by engaging in other relations in the bedroom.

But every morning, and he had to admit, especially in the evenings, he felt the need to see her, to go down a few floors at her office, knock on that damn door and maybe knock her off her feet with a kiss that he knew would do no good, other than set him on the surest path to fucking ruin because of one single young lady.

By Friday, he hated admitting it, but he grew desperate. He just wanted to see her, her face, to study her a little better, understand exactly what she had so special that kept him mesmerized at a distance of 7 days of not seeing her. What was haunting was the thought of close they were. The fact that he could jump in the elevator, press a certain button and he could see her in the spare of 2 minutes. That was what was fucking with him the most.

Was he scared of the sudden outburst of feelings? Hell yes!

Was he going to do anything about it? Hell no!

Or at least that's what he tried telling himself, but on that Friday night, he knew he was postponing leaving the office, despite finishing his last phone call for the day at only 7pm, a record, he had to acknowledge. He had been trying so hard to busy himself with work in order to ignore naughtier thoughts that it seemed as for the moment, surprisingly, there was nothing else for him to work on.

He wanted to wait until 9, wishing he could just meet her for a few second in the lobby before leaving work.

So when he finally existed the elevator at 8:55, he went straight for Jamie's desk.

"Hey Jamie. Is there a chance you've seen Miss Davis leave?"

Jamie seemed surprised for a second, but he tried his best to mask his reaction to the very sudden question of his boss.

"I'm afraid she left quite some time ago, Sir."

"Have any idea what hour?"

"Around 6. I'm really glad to see her leave at a normal hour these days. Sir, you should see how much more relaxed she looks! It's a good vibe that -..."

Jamie stopped abruptly from his talking about miss Ana Davis as Dimitrio gave him a cold, annoyed look, his clenched jaw being the perfect example of an order to the poor watchman to shut up.
