Raindrops and Arguments

Blue sky, grey clouds, storm coming - or not.
Foggy mornings and clear skies by noon
Hot, cold, hot; a wispy breeze limply
Shifts the heated heavy air. It
Does nothing to decrease the tension.

Weeping willow and its nesting birds
Are waiting for the storm to come. We
Need the rain to settle the dust and
Hydrate the parched grass to help
Animals in winter; save the leaves.

A splash of rain builds up to nothing -
A tease, a salvo of frustration.
Single drops evaporate once they
Hit the ground after plummeting miles.
Disappointing, yet a release of

The tension that has built up between us.
I stretch my bare legs, and crack my knuckles.
Spring in my step this summer.
No rain, just endless heat and the
Unyielding sun always there.
But an issue is over for me.
