Twist?- Redux story

Author's note: all the sequences in the last part, this part and next parts (until shivaay marries annika) are taking place in flash back. This part required a bit of detailing for the future parts, so yeah nothing would go waste or slow in this story sweeties ;) Thanks a lot for the brilliant response :)

"No buts khanna... will you or wont you? This is of atmost importance and i dont want any mishap in this ok? I don't want payal anywhere near her home by the time we reach there. Did you call him?" Asked shivaay firing out orders while khanna ji nodded.

"ACP Ranveer is on his way sir" said Khanna quivering as he saw Shivaay singh oberoi in one of his most fierce protective avatars. But little did he know that , protective singh oberoi is going to stay there for a while, to protect his loved ones.

"Good" said shivaay speeding away in his car.

Right when shivaay was about to enter payal's locality, a white coloured sedan stood right in front of him interrupting his path.

Shivaay almost started yelling when he saw a tall guy with coolers standing right in front of him.

A familiar tall guy ... or rather who he would call as his childhood friend Ranveer singh IPS, Asst Commissioner of Police ,Mumbai.

"Ranveer? I never expected you to come like this... and casuals? why?" asked shivaay almost forgetting his rage, messed up by the shock ranveer had given him.

"You said you need my help personally and is a top secret right? Thats why , i came like this to avoid any sort of suspicions. Now , tell me what do you need ?" asked ranveer.

"Not here... follow me" said shivaay while getting into his car while ranveer followed him to an isolated location.

"khanna ... i may not be able to make it there... but you know what to do right? Good... Make sure payal isn't in her home while you go through her CCTV details, right from the day I came to get Prinku's dress ok?Mmm" spoke Shivaay, while ranveer stood sober.

"Priyanka..... is getting married... this week right?" asked ranveer softly to shivaay, looking lost by mind and by heart.

Shivaay said " was to get married..." while Ranveer suddenly looked shocked.

"What do you mean was to get married....? what happened to her?" screamed ranveer.

Equally agitated on remembering Daksh , Shivaay explained him about daksh's attack on annika and how she has been complaining on daksh for a long time. 

"That m*ron, how dare he cheated priyanka? how could he? how could anyone dare to do this with any woman?I still cannot believe Priyanka loved this retard with her full heart... does she know? how would she take this? oh no" rambled ranveer while shivaay stood there rooted,gauging his true love for priyanka.

Yes, ranveer had always been in love with her. Ever since Shivaay, Om, Rudra and ranveer were chaddi buddies. Daksh had joined shivaay's school and his life much later than ranveer.

Although shivaay didn't know about his liking for priyanka initially, he came to know about it later from OmRU, when ranveer had started distancing himself from Oberoi family after priyanka fell head over heels in love with daksh and began dating him.  At that time, he didn't believe his close friend was in love with his sister. Rather he didn't want to believe it. So he had chided omru for their unnecessary imaginations and gossips, inspite of them both reasoning firmly that ranveer's love was pure and was devoted to priyanka completely.

Having been a non believer of love and a complete novice in cherishing love, Shivaay found OmRu's claims about Ranveer's devotion to priyanka , as a fragment of imagination. Now that Shivaay himself is a lovelorn gentleman, he perfectly saw what OmRu were talking about.

Shivaay slowly moved forward and put his hand on Ranveer who was busy rambling thinking about Priyanka's heart break.

"You really loved her?" asked shivaay calmly while Ranveer turned towards him shocked.

"You... knew?" gulped ranveer , words failing him.

"I heard a bit... but didn't choose to believe, now that i see, i can feel it" said shivaay holding his shoulder much firm while ranveer silently nodded.

"Its her right?" asked ranveer, with shivaay looking at him quizzically.

"The wedding planner... she has changed you like this isn't it? Shivaay singh oberoi , being compassionate to a person who has unrequitted love towards his most protected sister, wow Miss.Annika really has done magic" said a bemused ranveer 

"What?" 

"You really seem to love that wedding planner, do you realise that?" asked ranveer furthermore shocking shivaay.

"Ranveer... we are here to save Priyanka from Daksh... remember?" said shivaay bringing ranveer back to focus.

"Hmmm... tell me what should I do?" asked Ranveer 

"Prinku's love for Daksh is strong that i am afraid , she may not choose to believe us completly.  also i want to know what are the things this m*ron had hid from me and prinku. I need evidence against him in the crimes he had done to annika and priyanka. I had called you as i thought you were reliable in helping me get these evidences and also to get daksh punished without prinku's name getting involved. Can you help me ranveer?" asked shivaay while ranveer nodded gripping shivaay's palm firmly.

Right then, Shivaay got a call from khanna.

"Haan khanna bol.... WHAT? Really? Unbelievable..." screamed shivaay from the bottom of his lungs.

"What happened Shivaay?" asked ranveer concerned.

"I had asked Khanna to get CCTV footages from Payal's home, but it seems only a single recorded video is being played in loop and all the other footages have been deleted. Khanna said that All of a sudden the room where he had been checking the footages got smokey and he felt like fainting. Having no other go, he left the Payal's house and saw her leaving the house in a car" uttered a confused shivaay

"How did she know that some intruder was there in her house? I think we have wasted enough time, Come lets go" dragged shivaay.

"Shivaay" called ranveer while shivaay paused to look at him.

"we would go by my car. not yours. your car may be watched" said ranveer while shivaay nodded leaving his car behind
