Austin POV
I wondered why Peter was taking so long in the bathroom, so I went to check.
I got up, and went to the bathroom to see that Peter wasn't there. Strange. I saw something outside by the lake though. Ashlyn and Peter siting by the lake.
Even from this distance I could see the red slap mark. ouch. It must've hurt a lot. I suddenly felt guilty.
I went outside and hid behind a tree and listened in on their conversation. Apparently, she was crying on Peter's shoulder.
I couldn't hear anything they were saying but I watched what they were doing. They kept staring into each other's eyes until Peter lifted her chin up and leaned in.
My eyes widened, not believing what I was seeing. Peter kissed her! When they pulled away I saw Ashlyn was a bit mad, then her face softened, then she kissed him! I just felt like strangling Peter. He just HAD to make a move on her!
Then they both leaned in again, and kissed again.
When they pulled away, I got closer so I could hear. Then Peter said something I never thought he, of all people, would ever asked.
"Ash, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked her. No fucking way! No way will she say ye-
"Yes!" She squealed. She kissed him one more time. It lasted about ten seconds before I moved away from the tree, trying to get their attention.
It hurt, you know. What hurt was Peter was stealing Ashlyn away from me! Wait a second... did I just basically say that I have feelings for Ashlyn? Nah. Maybe? No. No. No! I can't like her. I don't. It would just seem wrong. Slapping her then saying 'I have feelings for her'.
When Ashlyn pulled away, she was smiling. She liked the kiss? More importantly, she liked Peter?
When she turned her head towards my direction, her smile faded.
"Oh..." was all I said before running back into the house.
