The shuttle landed safely in Novus soil. Hundreds of people gathered around as they waited to see a glimpse of the last said human.

Commander Galen and Dr. Kurt were the only ones who accompanied the unknown Exodus 58 passenger. The rest of the crew had to remain in the station. The woman, who seemed to be in her mid twenties, was still unconcious as the medical team took her away.

Commander Galen and Dr. Kurt were debriefed in separate rooms for over an hour. Several medical protocols had to be undergone for them as well. The seasoned commander was used to it, being in and out of the space station for the eleventh time. It was, however, the doctor's second time only. He never liked the rigorous routine of the NICC. But it was all necessary for the Novan population's safety.

After two hours or so, they were clear to go home. The two met at the hallway leading to the exit.

"I'll stay here for a while if that's okay." Dr. Kurt said.

"Alright." Commander Mars Galen parted ways with Dr. Kurt. He went to see his family who has been waiting for him in the lobby.

Dr. Kurt got in the elevator and saw his colleague and friend, Dr. Jay Amons. Dr. Amons was handling the case of the Exodus 58 passenger.

"Are you curious Lee?" Dr. Amons asked.

"Who wouldn't be?" Dr. Lee Kurt was a medical doctor who also had masteral in earth history and anthropology. "I never thought that we would ever be able to see a human in our lifetime Jay."

"But we are... humans." Jay told him. They entered the holding room where they could observe the human from above. Other specialized doctors were attending to her needs.

"Or we once were before we migrated here in Novus." Jay added.

"We have evolved so much." Lee replied. "And there are so many things that have been lost and forgotten since the earth was destroyed. She could hold the key to the past."

"Why do we have to look back to the planet that made so much mistakes?"

"So that we don't repeat the same mistakes they did." Chancellor Arin Alexian walked into the room. He was accompanied by General Wilk, the Commander General of NICC.

"Chancellor." The two bowed.

"Do we have any data so far on her Dr. Amon?" The chancellor asked.

"She is stable and clean. No need for isolation." Jay replied. "As expected, she is having a hard time remembering everything due to the side effects of long term hibernation."

"She is very valuable right now. Her brain could contain significant data for us." The General said. "Once ready, we can use the memory retriever."

The Chancellor looked at her as they doctor below drew out some blood. Then he looked at Dr. Kurt, the young doctor who spotted her on the radar. Dr. Kurt didn't seem to like the general's idea of using and probing her brain. The chancellor tapped his shoulder, as if to reassure him that the treasure he found will be taken care of.

"In order to move forward," the chancellor said. "we need to look back and learn from the mistakes of our predecessors, Dr. Kurt."

"Marie." A faint voice over the speakers said. It was from the room below.

"What did you say?" The doctor who just finished drawing blood asked the Exodus 58 woman.

She slowly turned her head and looked at him. Her eyes began to swell. "My name is Marie."
