All day Pattie couldn't help but think of the conversation she and John had earlier. She finally knew why the boys were acting so much more different this past month. The wit they carried had turned into fear.
Pattie had decided that she was now ready to talk to George, mainly to just get answers out of this whole Wilson business. She really hoped it wouldn't turn into a shouting competition, that is the last thing the wanted. She nervously bit her bottom lip as she gave a knock on the door even though ironically it was her room too. As she expected, George opened the door who was looking far from sane in all honesty.
"Hey.." she whispered, "hi" he would mutter back, a silence lingering the hallway "do..do you wanna come in?" George asked, Pattie gave a small nod and walked in, George closing the door behind them and both of them sitting on the bed with yet another silence approaching. "George I-" she started before pausing to make sure this was the right thing to do "you?.." "I know." "I think you are going to have to expand a little bit more than that Pattie" "I know about Wilson! okay? there!" George looked at her confused "I don't know what you think you know but-" "John told me. John told me okay so don't you dare try and lie to me" Pattie said, starting to sound angry "what has he been doing to you?" she continued and looked into George's eyes "I know he must have been doing something so cmon, I know everything else going on so you might as well tell me" she snapped, George sighed "you're mad, I get that but-" "but nothing. He touches you doesn't he?" "what?" "he. touches. you. doesn't. he?." "why would you even think that?" "you think I haven't noticed marks, the flinching and avoidance for anything that involves physical contact and when you do your face is traced with nothing but fear. You think I can't notice that?!" George didn't say anything, he wouldn't know what to say at this point. Pattie gave out a scoff "yeah..that's what I thought" she said and left the room, part of her hoping for George to come running after her but deep inside she knew those days were gone.
As she walked through the hallway, tears starting to roll down her face, a body bump into hers "sorry love" the rough voice would say, she stopped and looked up to the person who it belonged to and felt her stomach sink when she saw it was the sick man that goes by the name of Wilson.
"It's fine.." she mumbled and continued to walk on until he grabbed on to her hand "but wait, we arent finished yet" "what do you mean?" she asked confused "you think I didn't hear you scream at George just then? or earlier when you were pestering John about what was going on" "I..I" "you, you are on my side now" Wilson said with a smirk, Pattie shook her head "n-no..no I would never.." "oh really? well let me tell you this dollface, if you don't help me break up those stupid fags, I will have to, well, trust me you really don't want to know what I'll do" he snarled into her ear making her whole body shiver "so do we have a deal?"
"D-Deal.."
