              Emily's POV

Scanning through my laptop looking for old photos with my friends at Ricota. It's been two months now since we moved to Clidville because of the past memories of my late father that still haunted my mother up till now. We had time to settle down since it was the summer break.

Ricota depressed me and what made matters worse was the new high school I was to resume tomorrow at Rivers high school.

Summer was officially over and I made up my mind that I was going to be less crazier here in Clidville.

Back in Ricota, my live for violet(as in the color)was what made me crazy.

Most of my clothes were violet. I three wild parties that had no other colour except violet.

Since we moved here to Clidville, I had set up my mind not to do all those stuffs anymore do as to help my mum with her therapy classes with Ms Claire.

                    .............

Jogging downstairs in my Grey sweatpants and violet T-shirt, I accidentally tripped on a bottle of beer and I instantly realized that my mum was drinking again.

"Mum!"I call for her but I don't hear anything.

"Mum!"I yell louder but still the same result. I walked into the kitchen only to find my mum nearly unconscious by the counter cause of the excess intake of alcohol.

I quickly help her get up to the sofa and pat her head with a damp cloth.

In a few minutes, she blinks her eyes open and sneezes.
"Emily dear is that you?"she speaks lightly.
"Yes mum, go to sleep."

In a matter of seconds, she drifts of to the beautiful world of sleep.

I keep some aspirin and a bottle of water by her side because I know how much of a headache she was going to have when she wakes up.

After clearing up the bottles from the floor and doing the dishes, I heat up some lasagna and go straight upstairs.

While eating, I searched up for more information on my new school and the classes I would take.

Just thinking of how my life took a new turn in just a few months, I doze off completely nervous on what the new day would be like.
