September 16th. Wednesday.

This morning, school was at a fast pace. It wasn't easy for me to walk through the halls and to my locker since others were walking back and forth, up and down the halls. I looked for Nick and I couldn't see him thanks to this crowd.

Before I knew it, I was thrown against a locker and it was mine. I guess it was luck. Huh, who knew luck was actually real? I thought and believed that luck was just a myth since it was created by the Irish and they claimed it came from a shamrock or four-leaf-clover--- even a leprechaun. And I know very well that leprechaun's do not truly exist.

I kept close to my locker as I locked in the combination before opening it up. I slipped in the books from my shoulder bag before taking back out my Physical Science textbook and notebook.

"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" I suddenly heard the familiar squeal of Jenny, and I closed my locker to get a look at her. Crinkles were by her eyes and her dimples showed as she delivered a clean full grin to me from excitement.

This could only mean one thing. Either Jackson made her day with flowers, or he proposed. I doubt that he proposed since she is still pretty young for him

Only he's a senior and she's a junior. Not bad.

When I adjusted my straps and sighed lowly before leaning back, asking her why she is so happy and what Jackson had done to make her so happy. I had already known that it had to do with Jackson since he is the only guy that can put a smile like that on Jenny's face.

She walked closer to me before holding up her right hand, revealing to me her ring finger. I nearly gasped at the sight of a bright, gem ring that is slipped on her finger. It's wonderful and it isn't that big either. Not even close to a wedding ring.

"Is that...an engagement ring?" I questioned as my throat became soar.

That's right when Jenny chuckled at me before shaking her head. "Are you kidding right now?" She pulled her hand down to her side. "It's close, but it is a promise ring."

I don't know why, but a twinge of jealous was swimming inside me as well as happiness for her. If she was proposed that ring by Jackson, that means he really loves her. That's beautiful.

"Congratulations" I finally said. That's all I could say at the moment.

Jenny asked me if I knew where Nick was, and I shook my head. She sighed lowly and gave me a quick hug. "See you after school?" she asked.

I wrinkled my eyebrows. "You don't have cheer-leading practice?"

"No, we're doing that at lunch period."

I nodded my head weakly and she grinned. I barely paid any attention as she walked off. I sighed lowly before I braced myself to be shoved as I walked through the wild crowds of people. I breathed in and out since I didn't do well with crowds.

I remember when I was seven and my parents took me to New York City, and it was nice. However, the crowds made me dizzy and I could barely breathe. It was hard to since it felt like I was in an enclosed box with no way to escape.

I kept my eyes closed for a second before opening them back up. I had to imagine myself being at my science classroom so I could stop going through this phase or whatever you call it.

Relief swept through me once I reached my Physical Science class. My heart rate was slowly starting to beat at a normal pace before I walked straight into the classroom. The seats were beginning to fill and I looked for a table to sit at.

Not the front, not the middle----sigh. The back was my only option. I sat next to the window at the table and slipped open my textbook and a clean page in my notebook.
