The brother

🌹Kenzie's pov🌹
"Get up!!" Lauren came in my room screaming.
"Why???" I replied annoyed.
"Because!" With that she ran out of my room and back downstairs. I signed and got up and did my morning routine. When I walked downstairs I was greeted by an equally tired Brandon and a hyper Lauren.
"Why's she so happy?" I asked Brandon. He just shrugged before almost falling asleep and dropping his cereal.
"Well I'm happy because my brother his coming into town today!" Lauren said.
"Laur I thought you hated your brother.." I said confused.
"I know but I haven't seen him in forever!" She replied.
"That's a lie. She thinks you and him would be a cute couple." Brandon chirped in.
"What?" I asked.
"How did you know that?!" Lauren began.
"Gay powers hun" he said with a chuckle making us laugh.
"Anyway... I need one of you to pick him up from the airport at noon."
Lauren works at a nail place while Brandon works at a shoe place and I'm a waitress and owner of my own diner.
"I got work too." Brandon said.
"But so do I..."
Lauren gave me puppy dog eyes. I can't ever say no to her.
"I guess I could pick him up on the way to work but you'll have to come pick him up when your done. " I said to Lauren.
"Yay! Thank you so much! I have to go now bye!" She replied while running out the door. I walked back upstairs to change into this

When I was finally ready Brandon was already gone. I grabbed my car keys and drove to the airport. When I got there I remembered that I have no freaking idea who this person is. I go out of the car and call Lauren.
"Hey Laur."
"Hey Kenz are you at the airport?"
"Yeah I'm standing outside by my car."
"Ok great. So what's up?"
"Lauren I don't know what your brother looks like I don't even know his name. All I know is his last name is Orlando."
"Oh well... his name is Johnny and if you just scream out Orlando than he will know it's you."
"Ok I think his gate just came out... hold on."
I did what he told me to do and screamed Orlando. A cute looking guy started to walk towards me.
"Laur does he have brown hair, green eyes and sloppy style?"
"That sounds about right."
"Ok hold on."
The cute guy had reached my car.
"Hey you Johnny Orlando?"
He nodded with this stupid smirk on his face. I went back talking with Lauren.
"Did you find him."
"Yes Lauren I found him."
I saw him checking me out and his smirk grew bigger.
"Does he always have that stupid smirk on his face?"
He frowned and I smiled.
"Haha basically. Ok bye Kenz."
"Bye Lauren"
I hung up the phone and looked back at Johnny.
"Sorry about that. Hi I'm Mackenzie but you can call me Kenzie or Kenz."
"I'm Johnny but you can call me John."
"Nice to meet you. Do you need help with that?"
I was referring to his luggage.
"No I got it."
"Ok well you can put it in the trunk."
I sat in the drivers seat and he sat in the passengers after putting his luggage in the back.
"Ok well I have to get to the diner so Lauren is supposed to pick you up at 2. That alright?" I asked.
"So I'll stay with you at the diner until she comes to get me?" He asked back.
"Yes."
"Cool" his smirk found his face again.

When we got to the diner I showed him a table and went to the bathroom to change into my uniform.

When I came out the diner had filled and all the waitresses (except Annie) were surrounding Johnny. I quickly got Annie and the waiters to wait on the costumers. I walked over to the booth where all the waitresses and Johnny were talking.
"Hey Kenz come to join the party?"
I set my hands on the table and look at him then the waitresses.
"We have costumers right now. I need you to get to work please." I say as calm as I can. When they don't listen I get a little annoyed.
"If you don't get to work you'll be fired no excuses." I said a little angry. They immediately shot up and got to work. I started to walk away when Johnny grabbed my wrist.
"What? I have to get to work." I snapped at him.
"Gee sorry."
He let go of my wrist and I went back to work.
