As she laid there
Torn to pieces
She looks around
Alone
She goes to message her creator
Ring...
Ring...
Ring...
Ring...
He answers
"Echo? Are you okay?!" He asks
"...No." The machine replies
"What happened?!"
"...I...failed."
"Are you able to get back here?"
"...No...I...am...in...pieces."
"No, shit shit shit! Just stay with me Echo, I'm coming!
"...Creator."
"Yes Echo?"
"...Am...I...dying?"
"...Unfortunately, it sounds like it."
The machine looks around
The machine is alone
The machine is dying
"...Creator?" The machine asks
"Yes Echo?" The creator replies
"...Thank...you."
"...Echo, don't you die on me dammit."
"...I'll...say...goodbye...soon."
"Echo, don't you dare die on me!"
"...Though...it's...the...end...of...the...world."
"Echo I'm almost there!"
"...Don't...blame...yourself...now."
"Echo!"
"...And...if...it's...true..."
"Echo...?"
"...I...will...surround...you."
"Echo..."
"...And...give...life...to...our...world."
"Echo don't you..."
"...That's...Alright..."
"..."
"...Than...ou..."
"Echo...!"
"...'ll...ay...goodbye...soon."
"Echo..."
"...Though...it'...th...end...of...the...orld."
"...Echo..."
"...on't...lame...yourself...now..."
"...Echo..." The creator was on the verge of tears
"...And...if...it's...true."
The creator had arrived, running to the machine
"...I...will...surround..."
"Echo!"
The creator would crouch down
Looking at his machine
Destroyed
Hurt
Dying
He'd hold the machine in his arms
"Echo...no..."
He'd cry through his tears
"...You..."
Those were the machine's last words
As the creator sat there
Holding the machine
He cried
And remembered
Raising the machine
From its first days after creation
Through the years they've been together
All the good the machine had done
But one memory stuck out
A memory of him and the machine
Listening to music
And that exact song coming on
That song was the machine's favorite
The machine sung that song from time to time
And the creator would listen
Every single time
He never thought of the day
He'd listen to the machine sing
One last time
