[This dedicated to a friend of mine. I let them choose many topics and I had to type a story. Thanks for being patient and I hope you enjoy. <3 A present for you~]

A bouncing kid full of an impecibal amount of energy, awoke to sounds of trickling rain, drops that slowly fell down the paned windows, and the sun with rays blocked by grey puffy clouds. He looked a little disappointed, as the energy seemed to drizzled out, but still somewhat willing to play outside with the squishy, muddy, and splashy ground. Rain would not completely stop his parade. As quickly as his stubby legs could take him, he ran across the house with loud stomps, eventually busting into an untidy bedroom. Luffy, as was this joyful kid's name, jumped onto the covered bed as it seemingly let out a groan of pain.

"Luffy, it's too early." Shanks, a red haired man who lay in said mentioned bed, spoke with an obviously tired and rough voice.

"But Shanks I'm bored and last time you got mad at me for going outside when it rained because of the mud." Luffy whined, sitting on the other's torso, slightly kicking his feet.

"Luffy..." The red head once again groaned, he was tired, groggy, but also slightly vulnerable to the kid's cuteness. "Alright but get out the toaster waffles."

Within a second, the kid ran off shouting 'toaster waffles' repeatedly down the hall, with a fridge slam clearly audible from the bedroom in no time at all. Shanks hoped this would distract him long enough in his desperate need to sleep even just the slightest bit longer. With Luffy, this was sure to backfire, seeing as the man woke up in a panic a few minutes later to fire alarms going off with the smell of smoke strong.

This time it was Shanks loudly stomping and running throughout the house, in his rush he slid across the floor, due to his socks he still wore, eventually falling straight on his bottom but successfully in the living room that connected to the room with the most likely cause of the smoke, the kitchen. In a panic he quickly scrambled to his feet as the scene of smoke quickly unvealed itself with small flames arrising from one of the coils on the stove as the sparks climb up the cabinets and a panicking Luffy nearby.

"Shanks..." The child barely could barely speak, nervous with constant shivering and stuttering, almost unable to cope with the actions he had done.

"Uhh... look kid..." Shanks tried to seem more of an adult like figure at the moment, though he was obviously freaking out with his hands on either side of his face. "Call Benn for me, Okay? I can handle it." All a facade to appear being the adult like figure in the house.

"If you can handle it then why do I need to call Benn?"

"Just do it already!"

Luffy effectively ran to the phone a few feet away and dialed one of the numbers that was stuck with a sticky note on the wall next to it. Shanks, in his time to seem heroic, tried to splash water on the flames and failing miserably as it had little no effect, in fact making it worse.

"Ahh ahh, Benn I accidently set the stove on fire... And maybe the cabnit too." Luffy spoke on the phone with a whiney voice and sniffles through his tears.

Benn is a good friend of Shanks', one of the few who can tolerate the red head when he is being childlike and there to back him up in serious times, typically he is the first to call for advice or help.

In the background Shanks grabbed a small dish rag to try and put out the fire with, ever gracefully trying to beat out the fire with the rag that set itself ablaze.

"Shanks said he can handle it."

"Look kid, I know I said I could but, does it really look like I do?!" The red haired dropped the burning cloth as he struggled with girly screams of frustration.
