Book 2 Earth: Chapter 1

*A/N: Those are the 2 necklaces she has, the first one is the Necklace Master Pakku gave her and the second one is her mother's Betrothal necklace that Ursa sent  as her birthday present*

It's been weeks since the North Pole attack. I was asleep when I heard someone get up. I shook it off and I got up when the sun rised. I got up and stretches and straightened out my clothes, I then went up to the deck and saw everyone. "Katara, I want you to have this" Pakku said holding out an amulet. "This amulet contains water from the spirit oasis. The water has unique properties. Don't lose it" He said. He looked to me. "Anana, this for you" He said holding a beautiful necklace with all the symbols of the nations in my face. "The four nations?" I asked confused He let it go and it landed softly in my hand. "This necklace is sacred. It has healing properties for the person who wears it. Also, you put the necklace over top on a person's wound he will heal them, not fully though just for them to live. It also has properties of the four nations reason why they're symbols are together, when you need it most it will help you" "What do you mean?" "You will find out one day" He said. He turned to Aang. "Aang these scrolls will help you master waterbending. But remember they're no substitute for a real master." Aang bowed and I bowed and got on Appa. Sokka came on Appa with nothing in his hand. I put on the necklace. I admired it. What does Pakku mean?  "Fly straight to the earth kingdom based to the east of here. General Fung will provide you with an escort to Omashu. There you'll be safe to begin your earth bending training with King Bumi." Aang nodded. "Appa! Yip Yip!" He said. "Say hi to Gran Gran for me." Katara yelled. I looked out into the ocean. I closed my eyes and began to tear up. I have been having dreams and nightmares of Yue. I felt someone sit next to me. I turned and saw Sokka. I smiled and he held his arms out and I hugged him and he hugged back. I cried in his chest and fell asleep.       

When I woke I saw we were arriving to the Earth Kingdom base. We landed and got off and I stretched my back. "Welcome, Avatar Aang!" We heard a man say. I turned around and saw soldiers. "I am General Fung." He said bowing with the other soldiers. "And welcome to you all great heroes, Appa, Momo,Brave Sokka, the mighty Katara, and Strong but Wise Anana." He said. "Mighty Katara? I like that" She said. I rolled my eyes. I could tell them was something about this General but I couldn't put my finger on it.

I heard fireworks and I looked up and saw them. "Not bad.Not bad" Sokka said. We were then led to the General's room. We sat on a mat in front of his desk. "Avatar Aang, we were all amazed at the stories on how you single-handedly wiped out an entire fire navy fleet at the north pole. I can't imagine what it feels like wield such devastating power. It's an awesome responsibility." Fung said. "I try not to think about it too much" Aang said. "Avatar, you're ready to face the fire lord now." Fung said. My eyes widen. "What?! No i'm not" "Aang still needs to master all four elements" Katara said. "Why? With the kind of power he processes, power enough to destroy hundred's of battleships in matter of minutes, he could defeat the fire lord now!" He said. "Sir, the thing is Aang can only do those things when he's in the Avatar state." Sokka said. "See it's this special state where-" "I'm well aware. Your eyes and tattoos glow, and you're able to summon unbelievable power. Without you, we'd be slaughtered before we even reach their shores. But with you leading the way, as the ultimate weapon, we could cut a swath right through the heart of the fire nation." Fung said, "Right, but I don't know how to get in or out of the avatar state, much less what to do once i'm there." Aang said. "So, it's decided then, I'll help you figure out how to get into the avatar state, and then you'll face your destiny." "No nothing's decided" I said standing up and everyone did too.  "We already have a plan. Aang's pursuing his destiny his way." I said folding my arms together. "Well,while you take your time learning the elements, the war goes on. May I show you something?" He asked. Him and Aang walked over to a window.

I left and the soldiers that showed, Katara,  Sokka and I to our rooms. Aang walked in later. "I told the General I'd help him by going into the avatar state." "Aang, no This is not the right way." Katara said. "Why not? Remember when he took out the fire navy? He was incredible." " There's a right way to do this practice,study, and discipline" I said. "Or just glow it up and stop that fire lord" Sokka said. "If you two meatheads want to throw away everything we've worked for, fine. Go ahead and glow it up." She said. "Katara, I'm just being realistic!I don't have time to do this the right way" Aang said. She left the room. I looked at them and shook my head at them. "But you know she's right" I said walking out the door. I saw Katara at a balcony. I walked up to her and smiled at her. "He'll make the right decision" I said. "Let's hope" She said. We back inside and went to sleep. We woke up the next day and we had to go help Aang with his Avatar state. We went to this relaxing temple near the base. "This rare chi enhancing tea is a natural stimulant. In an ordinary warrior it improves strength and energy tenfold. In you, it may induce the avatar state." A man said pouring the tea. "Tenfold energy,huh?" Aang said. We carefully watched him drink the tea. A minute later he got on a air scooter and went everywhere. Going everywhere. "Is it working? Is it working? I can't tell! Somebody tell me if i'm in the avatar state because I don't have a good view of myself. Am I talking too loud?" He said rapidly. I started to giggle. "I guess he could talk the fire lord to death." Sokka said as I started to laugh and heard Aang grunt I looked over and just as he ran into a pole. I laughed harder.

Then we went into the top balcony and I sat next to Aang. "Maybe I can shock you into the avatar state" Sokka said. "I love surprises" Aang said. Katara closed his eyes and I helped Sokka put momo on his head in his shirt. Katara let go of his eyes and Momo screamed at him and Aang flinched by didn't glow. "Still not glowing" Aang said checking himself. Sokka lost his balance and fell to the ground. I chuckled.

We entered a room that was dim and they put Aang in clothes. "You are wearing a ceremonial piece of clothing from each of the four nations. Now, I will join the four nation into one. Water,Earth,Fire,Air!" He said throwing the elements into a bowl. "Four elements together as one." He said throwing it on Aang. "This is just mud." Aang said. "So, do you feel anything?" The man said. Aang pointed his finger up and started to move his face.

We all looked closely at him and he sneezed and I move out of the way, while the others got mud on them. "We have to find a way" Fung said. I went to the bedroom and looked up into the ceiling. It was good seeing Iroh again but I didn't get to see Zuko. I wonder what he's doing? How he is doing? Has he forgotten me?. Even now. I miss them. I miss Ursa. By the time I finished thinking I fell asleep. In the middle of the night I heard talking and than it stopped.

I woke to screaming I got up and put my shoes on and ran outside. I saw Aang fall and he landed on the ground with a desk fall behind him. "Men,attack the avatar." Fung said. I saw the soldiers get closer to Aang. I ran to him and stood beside him. I saw the general jump down from the top floor us and jumped on the earth and it rose up and I brought it down. "What are you doing?" Aang said.

I had my stance ready to water bend for anyone to attack Aang or me, "I beileve we are about to get results." Fung said. The soldiers earth bended up rocks and rosed to their heads. Some brought it down and rolled it over to Aang and I. He gracefully jumped away from them and I dive rolled out the way. "I'm not your enemy I won't fight you." Aang yelled. When suddenly Four rocks rolled over to us fast he jumped and I brought my arms out in front of me with my water whips ready and swung hard both of my arms back and sliced the rocks.

Aang got stuck in two rocks and started roll and one of the soldiers and the soldier broke the rock. Aang skid across alittle. All of the earth bended had rocks above their head. They threw it at us and I began to use my water whips at them,Aang air scooters away. "You can't run forever" Fung said bringing Aang by the Earth Kingdom insignia rock. "You can't fight forever"  Aang started to run from the rocks and I continued to water bend from the water pouch hanging on my side while Aang out there fighting the soldiers with his air bending.

Everyone stopped and focus on Katara. "Maybe you can avoid me, but she can't." Fung said. Katara water bended at him and he made a sink hole and she sunked by her knees. "Uh! "uh! I can't move" Katara said. "Don't hurt her" Aang said. He airbended at him and he blocked with an earth wall. She sunk again to her waist. "Katara! No!" Sokka said. Sokka used the animal to run at Fung and he used earth bending to sink the animal to its ankle. And Sokka flew to the rocks. I ran at him and fire bended at him and he earth bended a wall to stop the flames and then he threw a rock at me. I flew to the wall and hit my head on something, before I passed out I heard "Anana!"

I woke up to someone putting water on my head I saw Katara healing me. I can heal to by not on myself right now. She let go and smiled at me. "Thank you Katara" I said getting up slowly. She hugged me tightly. "Thank goodness your ok" She said. She let go. I looked at Aang and Sokka. "Thank you, for helping me with Fung even though I couldn't help you back."  "It's fine Aang, i'm glad your ok" I said hugging him. "You ok Sokka?" I asked him. "Never better" He said hugging me from the side. Then Katara and Aang hugged me. We all had a group hug.
