Sick Love

Introduction

Demi Claire Rose, a sixteen year old who kept her circle small, with the exception of her lifelong friend Leslie, and next door neighbor, Cameron. Demi had long ink-like hair, freckles, pale skin, jade colored eyes, and a smile that she kept hidden behind her ample, peachy lips.
Behind closed doors, Demi lived with her mom, Kate, and her older brother Garrett. Kate worked as a nurse at the city of Melrose General Hospital, and Garret went to college in Boston, but was back in his childhood home because Kate had just recently lost her husband, and Demi and Garret had just lost their father, Paul.
Paul had been working as an architect for Walker Construction. Leslie's dad is the owner of Walker Construction, and the town has been at a loss since the car crash that took Paul's life. Demi had been struggling with her fathers death, because she was always on the job with her dad, writing as he designed Melrose's next building, or at the Jitters Cafe with her father sharing panini, and discussing how the designs of Paul's work was going, and how Demi's newest work of literature was preceding. Demi always had her finger around her fathers thumb, it had been like that since the day she was born.
Garrett was trying to remain strong for his mom and sister, but inside he was hurting. Garrett and his dad weren't as close as Demi was with their dad, but they still hung out a lot, and shared many afternoons going long, because Garrett was a part of Melrose High School's Varsity Football Team.
The community had lost an intelligent, and respectful man.
