For weeks, Jungkook tried to ease-drop, get it from Taehyung or Seokjin, but always got caught, or never given a clear answer.
He wasn't gonna give up so easily, though.
He wanted to help Jimin, so he still tried. More and more weeks pass. He then got the opportunity to ease-drop.
And he wasn't gonna lose it.
Jimin, Taehyung, and Seokjin were sitting on a bench, so Jungkook used his ninja moves of crawling super slow to get behind the bench. It surprisingly worked.
"He keeps on following us. He needs to stop." Taehyung said, while Jungkook used all of his might to not hit Taehyung. He succeeded.
"Yea..Or he'll find out everything." Seokjin agreed, he didn't want Jimin's secrets to come out.
"So, do you still have feelings for him? You need to get over them. No one even knows who Jungkook's crush it, it could be Namjoon for god's sake! Actually, no, Jungkook doesn't really like Namjoon at all. He could like Hoseok for god's sake!" Taehyung wasn't being very helpful, but Jungkook was happy to hear Jimin liked him too. He's glad he won't face rejection.
At least, he hopes.
"Yea..I just.. Can't forget about him.. How he always was the first on to text me when I felt like it, even at 1 am.. I just can't..." Jimin explained he couldn't forget him. Taehyung and Seokjin tried to comfort the crying Jimin. Jungkook really wanted to get up and hug Jimin, but he wanted to know more.
"You'll forget about it eventually. Just one more year to face. You got this!" Taehyung tried to be comforting, but it just came out wrong.
When Jungkook heard enough, he Ninja-ed(Crawling super slow) out and left for class.
All day in class, he could only think of Jimin. Jimin. Jimin.
When school was over, Jungkook was gonna text Jimin to meet him some were, but he hesitated. He knew how fragile Jimin really was. If you said something mean to him, he'd look like he didn't care, but on the inside, he's think about the insult and take it in as his own,
As a part of him.
Compliment are useless to Jimin, he'd nod and say thank you, but on the inside, he wouldn't accept it as a part of him. All he saw were flaws.
Flaws, flaws, flaws.
Jungkook would always compliment Jimin. He always said Jimin was perfect the way he was, and he didn't want Jimin to change.
That was all true. He did think Jimin was perfect.
Jimin thought other wise, but accepted the praise he got.
Jungkook decided he would meet Jimin some were private. From far enough so no one could bother them.
The cherry tree.
There was a cherry tree at the back of school, it was a beautiful sight.
Just like Jimin
He decided on that Friday.
Even if Jimin rejected him, that'd the the last place Jimin would see Jungkook.
Jungkook bottled up his feelings for way too long. Months upon months, he still wouldn't say a thing about it. The rumors were nothing to him.
Rejection was the only thing that got to him.
He always thought of confessing in public, but he didn't want to get rejected in public.
He always thought he shouldn't do it. He wasn't worth Jimin's love. Yet, his love for Jimin just got even deeper and deeper, to the point the only way out was a confession.
Every night for that week, Jungkook decided he would text Jimin reasons why he loved Jimin. 5 reasons each night. Different reasons each night.
He wanted to be memorable if he got rejected.
This was the only way to be, in Jungkook's eyes.
He loved Jimin, so he made sure Jimin knew it.
