"Impossible" Chapter 2

Selena’s P.O.V.

“Hey you’re Selena right?” A blonde haired girl asked while standing by a locker beside mine

“Umhmmm” I nodded and turned back to my locker.

I scrabbled looking through my bag for my locker combination, please don’t let it be lost I mentally screamed

I was having a little spaz attack after what happened with that boy, I do know his name but I don’t feel I should call him by his name unless we actually introduce ourselves to one another which if I have any say in will never be happening. I continued to look through my bag until I came across a small white piece of paper which allowed a blanket of relief to wash over me.

“Found it.” I whispered to myself and entered the combination into my locker only for it not to open, I entered the combination a further three more times and I was still getting the same result.

“Here you need to give it a little nudge.” The blonde haired spoke out again while turning to me and thumping the middle of the locker causing it to pop open.

I nodded in apprication. “Thanks.” I smiled lightly and turned back to my locker putting my English text book in it. The class did receive homework but I finished it during class time so I could leave my textbook here.

“I’m Hope, nice to meet you.” The girl said happily as she stuck out her hand gesturing for me to shake it.

I looked at her hand for a few seconds I was afraid to touch her in case I seen all those pictures thing in my head again just like when I touched that boys hand, that wasn’t to pleasant the first time and I would like to avoid experiencing it again.

I shook away my thoughts and remembered my manners.

“Hi I’m Selena, nice to meet you.” I said as I shook her hand and smiled.

No flashes of creepy pictures occurred, thank god.

She took her hand back from mine. “So how do you like Auburn East High.” She chuckled while gesturing her hands in the air.

“Well I have only been to one class but I like the principal and my English teacher.” I said as I smiled.

Hope nodded. “Yeah Mrs. Smith is pretty cool for a principal. I don’t have Miss. Heart for English so I don’t really know what her personality is like.” Shechuckled

I smiled and nodded indicating I understood her; I then began to look around awkwardly as the conversation died down which I was thankful for.

“You don’t do this a lot do you?” She asked.

I tilted my head to the side slightly as I looked at her I genuinely had no clue what she was talking about. I think she picked up on what I was thinking because she chuckled at me again and shook her head.

“I mean you don’t talk to people often do you, no offence or anything but you’re not the best person to have a conversation with.” She chuckled again.

I flushed “Um, no not really.”

“It’s okay, we will work on your social and communications skills.” She giggled which kind of made me laugh also

“I can talk and socialise, I just choose not too.” I shrugged indicating it was no big deal.

She tilted her head this time. “How did you talk to your friends back at your old school then?” She asked sounding interested.

I looked down and began debating in my head whether or not I should tell her I had no friends back at my old school and I’m basically a loner, I didn’t exactly know much about her other than her name was Hope and she was polite and friendly, she had those characteristics that people at my old school didn’t possess.
