Chapter 3
As soon as we reached school, we went to our class immediately. I saw my two best friends, Jerry and Billy, in the classroom. We started chatting. After a few minutes my teacher came and told the class to settle down and get ready for class. Everyone got ready and settled down for class. The class discussion started. It became so interesting as Jerry, Billy, and I participated actively as we answered the teacher’s questions. After class, our teacher called us to see her in her office. We were scared to death, thinking that we were in trouble. But after the talk,
I went home happily and reported to Dad and Mom what the teacher told us.
Do you know what she said to me and my two best friends? Teacher said,
“Great kids! keep up the good job!”
Oh my! I heard my sibling calling me again. “Yes?” I asked them. And of course, their answer? “Let’s play, please.”
“I am so sorry but I can’t. I have to review for a test tomorrow,” I replied.
I went to my room and started reviewing until Billy called to ask a question about a Math homework. “We have a Math test tomorrow, right?” He shouted at the other end as if surprised, “What!”
“Yes, I am serious. We have a Math test tomorrow.” “Oh no! I have not started reviewing yet.” “Then start now. It’s not late yet. That is, if you wanna pass the test tomorrow.” I said. Then he hung up and I continued with my review. While I was studying, I can hear my siblings playing and shouting. They were distracting me that I have to go out of my room and tell them to keep quiet.
They did! After reviewing, because they were so good and obeyed me, I played with my siblings. We had a great time playing until Dad and Mom called us to eat out. We wen tin the car and off we go to our favorite restaurant. I ordered some chicken and rice. And my siblings, they followed what their BIG brother ordered. Chicken and rice for them, too. My parents ordered some salad.
While waiting for our food to come, Mom asked if I am ready for the test tomorrow. I said, “Yes!” Dad and Mom were so happy with how I am taking my studies seriously. We enjoyed our family time together. We headed home after the dinner and went to bed to be
ready for a new day.
