Here we go again. This is the day when everybody makes a bunch of useless resolutions that they're not going to keep. For the little girls, it's to be a princess and for the boys, all boys, it's to be top goal scorer in the Premier League... on FIFA. Everybody wishes for something different, and yet the same. All they wish for is want, not need. All the same. At least they're normal.
The grey ocean surrounding me slowly creeps into my nose and mouth.
Cassie's walking down the pavement. She's normal. And my best friend. I have absolutely no clue why she likes me. She is 17, a year older than me. She's tall and blonde and has a boyfriend. I like her boyfriend. Maybe a bit too much. He doesn't know that. No one does.
Cassie wants me to go see the fireworks tonight. I say no. Say I'm just gonna go to sleep early. Too tired. She accepted (God knows why) and she said that she'll see me tomorrow. I walked away. Without saying goodbye.Author's Note:
