Getting Ready for the Party (pt 2)

Colby's POV:
About half an hour after I put the movie on Jake started to fall asleep. How cute, that's all I can think anymore. All my thoughts are just Jake, Jake, Jake, Jake, Jake. I can't help it.
Just as he fell completely asleep on my chest the front door opened. This'll be fun to explain. I'll just pretend I'm I sleep too I guess. I leaned my head on Jakes pretending to sleep just as the guys came into the kitchen. "Colby? Jake?"
"Both of their cars are here, I think the tv is on in the other room. They're probably watching a movie."
"Okay, I'm gonna go watch with them. I want to relax before getting ready for the party." Shit, now Corey's coming into the room.
"I'll watch too."
"Me too." Great now all of them are coming in. Corey, I think, walked in first.
"Hey Sam, Aaron, come here." He sounded like he was smiling, that's good I guess. Sam is never going to let me live this down.
"I thought they weren't together?" Aaron said sitting on the side of the couch Jake is on.
"I don't think they are..." Sam said coming to sit somewhat next to me.
"I hope not! That'll ruin our plan!"
"Your plan?" At least Aaron and I are on the same page, what plan?
"We had a plan to get them together at the party tonight."
"But you don't know for sure that Colby likes Jake though." What about Jake liking me?
"Ya we do, he told me." Wow. Sam just casually told them that. Great.
"But still, even if we know that they like each other we shouldn't interfere." Wait, that we like each other? Jake likes me?
"Well it looks like we can't anyway. They look like they're already together." Well at least I can tell Jake that I like him.
"At least they are now." The conversation died from there as they watched the movie. Twenty minutes after they had been talking I 'woke up', me shifting caused Jake to shift as well, his head now in my lap. I smiled at this, and began playing with his hair. He looks so innocent when he's asleep. I realised that the roommates were still in the room, I kept playing with Jakes hair but I looked up. There was still about an hour left of the movie and it was only 1:20. I looked around the room, I don't think anyone realised I was 'awake' so I just kept watching the movie.  Another half hour later Jake woke up so I leaned down to whisper to him "I'll explain later. The roommates think we're dating, just go with it." I say back up fully smiling down at a now blushing Jake. He stayed with his head in my lap but now he was paying attention to the tv. The roommates noticed we were both awake when Jake woke up. They looked surprised when I whispered to Jake, and he blushed.
"So..." Corey finally spoke up.
"So...?" I asked playing with Jakes hair again.
"You and Jake?" Sam asked.
"What about us?" Jake looked up at me and giggled a bit. I didn't even know that noise could come out of him, how charming. I looked down smiling fondly at him before looking back up.
"That! That's what I'm asking about."
"I don't know what you're talking about." Jake chuckled, joining the conversation.
"Babe, just tell them." Babe, I wish that was my name all the time to Jake.
"Babe!" They all shouted at the same time.
"Yes, 'babe'. That's what I call my boyfriend." Jake's starting to have fun with this as well, their reactions are too funny not to be. Jake suddenly pulled my head down to his, whispering "This is fun, pretend like I said something funny." I chuckled as I sat back up looking at the guys. They looked extremely confused, which made Jake and I laugh more. Jake sat up putting his head on my shoulder. I could get used to this, and after I talk to him I hope I can.
"We're gonna go up to my room, shout us when we start getting ready for the party." I got up from the couch grabbing Jake's hand, intertwining our fingers and walking up the stairs to my room.
"As much fun as that was, why did we do that?" Jake said taking a seat on my bed. I guess it's now or never. I went to sit next to him and grabbed his hand, I intertwining our fingers once again and looking him in the eyes.
"While you were asleep the roommates came home and I was resting my eyes, they thought I was asleep so they started talking. First Sam and Corey said they had some sort of plan that wan now ruined because we were already together. Aaron asked how they'd even get us together seeing as I didn't like you that way. Then Sam, that big mouth, told him that I do like you."
"You like me?" Jake looked into my eyes hopefully.
"Of course I do. Let me finish though. Then I was thinking, why would he only say that I didn't like you like that, why not that you don't like me like that? Well that question was soon answered by Aaron saying 'even if they like each other, we shouldn't interfere.' So I learned that a certain Jake Webber likes me, the way I like him." Jake looked stunned but I could tell he was fighting a grin. I took my free hand wrapping it around his waist pulling him closer to me. Jake took the opportunity the climb into my lap, putting his forehead against mine.
"He Jake?"
"Ya Colby?"
"Can I kiss you?"
"Of course you can." First, we were afraid to move our lips, but then Jake slowly started to move his soft lips against mine, I went with it, losing myself in it. As we kissed I pulled Jake closer, he was now straddling my hips. The kiss was soft and gentle, mostly because we were both a bit too shy to deepen it. We pulled away putting our foreheads together again, smiling.
"This is way better then any party I've ever been to." I chuckled at Jakes comment as leaned in to kiss him again. As I pressed my lips to his I took my hand from his grip putting it on his cheek, lowering the one on his waist to butt. He took both of his arms and looped them around my neck as we kissed. I softly bit his bottom lip and he opened his mouth allowing my tongue to explore his mouth. I moved the hand on his face to tangle into his hair as he took one of his from around my neck, moving it to cup my face. A knock on the door made us pull away just as it was being opened.
"We're starting to get ready for the party, sorry for interrupting..." Corey said as he saw the position Jake and I were in. Jake blushed as he got off of me telling Corey we would be down in a second.
"You're cute when your hair is messy and you have swollen lips." I said as I got up from the bed leaning down to kiss Jake again as he fixed his hair.
"I'm not cute." He pouted as I pulled away from the kiss, chuckling saying "yes you are." Grabbing Jakes hand I pulled him out of my room and we walked towards Corey, Sam, Aaron, Devin and Katrina. I assume Devin and Kat just got here.
"So you aren't dating last week but now you are?"
"Yep."
"We're happy for you guys."
"But now we have a party to set up, so who's on what jobs?" In reality I just want to get this over with so I can spend more time with Jake.
"So it is only 2 so we have until 7 to set up."
"Okay, so Colby and Jake you guys set up the beer pong tables and fill the cooler with ice and drinks." As soon as Sam told us our job we were off to get everything.
"Can you help me with the table Jakey?"
"Mhm." We brought the table into the room, going back to the garage to get the cups and alcohol.
"We should do the cooler closer to the party, don't want all the ice melting."
"Smart and cute." I said pulling Jake into a hug.
"I'm not cute." "Yes you are." "No I'm not." "Yes you are." "Colby..." "Yes?" "Why am I cute?" "You look cute, you act cute, even when you're trying to look mad you look cute." Jake blushes putting his head on my shoulder. "That was extremely cute." "Whatever, lets just go put the beer in the refrigerator." "Hey..." he looked up from my shoulder as I leaned down to give him a small kiss.
"PDA! PDA!" Corey yelled as he walked by us. After putting the beer in the fridge, we helped the girls set up Karaoke and decorate. By the time we were done with everything it was four. Three hours to spare. With everything being done Jake and I went back to my room to kill some time until the party started.
