Too many thoughts went through Lyric's head. Too many to count.

She thought about Jett's suicide note, the tribute paid to Jett at the Twenty One Pilots concert, and Ty sprinting to his car to get his shotgun, to name a few.

She finally gave in and started screaming. It was 4:00 AM. This caused her mother to burst into the room and yell, "What's wrong?!"

Lyric stared at her for a brief moment before blacking out.

Molly was watching the news when she heard about what happened to Lyric. Her mother called 911 when she passed out, and she was taken to the hospital an hour later.

She remembered the funeral, and how Lyric discussed the sound of the gun. The next thought to pop into her head was the thought of Josh's complete silence for most of the ceremony. She hadn't heard from him since then. She decided to call him on Skype. It took a minute before he finally answered.

"Oh...hey," he whispered. "I've been waiting. Um...I need you over here."

Molly drove over without hesitation. She knew he needed help.

Josh opened the door as soon as the doorbell rang. He led Molly to the living room right away. By the time he sat down, he felt like bursting into tears.

Molly looked at him with the look of genuine concern. "Go ahead."

Josh broke down for about three minutes straight. Then, he told her everything.

"Tyler's cutting. He hasn't done it in years. But, after Ty died, he couldn't control himself. I don't know what to do." He cried again for another three minutes before finally calming down.

Molly went to Skype again, calling Tyler this time. She noticed that he was wearing long sleeves.

Tyler tried to look innocent. "Hi, how are you?"

"Tyler, you're wearing long sleeves in the middle of July. Josh told me everything. Roll them up."

Tyler immediately started to tear up. He rolled his sleeves up to reveal several scars from his wrist to elbow. Molly gasped at the sight. Josh was angry now. He ripped the laptop from Molly's hands and practically went insane.

"FUCK YOU, YOU STUPID MOTHERFUCKER!" he shouted. "I thought you vowed to never do this again!"

Tyler tried to apologize as the tears began to fall. However, he was quickly cut off.

"You fucking worthless piece of shit! You're such a damn child, and I'm sick of it! I'm so ashamed to call you my best friend. Well, former, because I'm fucking done, bitch. Goodbye."

He slammed the laptop shut.

Molly looked at him in shock. "Josh...how much of that was true?!"

Josh's anger turned to sadness instantly. "None of it," he said through tears. "None of it..."

Molly embraced him and let him sob.

He finally let out what was bottled up for months.

-3 days later-

Tyler was in a deep, dark depression. He didn't stop cutting, either. He lost his best friend as well as a close one, and the ones remaining were still fucked up in the head from the death of one of them.

He wanted to die more than ever now.

His time had come.

He took the blade he'd been cutting with and pointed it at his throat. He whispered, "This is the end..."

Just as he was about to drag the blade one last time, the door flew open.

It was Josh.

Both were silent for a moment before Josh spoke up.

"I'm so sorry, Tyler. Please...don't do it."

Tyler dropped the blade and approached Josh, throwing his arms around him. Josh returned the embrace, letting Tyler cry.

His best friend was alive.

That was all that mattered.
