Chapter Five

°Hermione's POV°

"Hermione Jean Granger. What exactly what that?" Ginny asked, sitting next to me in Defense Against The Dark Arts.

"What?" I question. Harry and Ron walked in after her, sitting in the pair of desks infront of us. They turned their chairs around to face us.

"You flipped off the teacher! Then LEFT!" Harry said, gesturing upwards with his hand dramatically.
"And that laughing fit. What did that great git do?" Ron asked, looking rather angry.
"You made professor Trawlaney so mad that we lost 45 points for Gryffindor!" He said.

"Oh...." I said. I don't know exactly what was I'd funny, perhaps it was the gesture and the shock on his face as he fell forwards. I couldn't help myself. Than in that moment with professor Trawlaney, I have no idea what I was thinking but I did flip her off and leave. It was exhilarating. I felt so alive.

I didn't want my friends to suffer for my mistake. That was alot of points I would have to earn back. And on the first day too.

"You're sure to have detention for a bloody month!" Ginny said.

"Oh, so be it." I shrugged. It was just some detentions. I've gotton worse. The others looked at me rather surprised. "I'm more curious on who our DADA teacher is." I said, changing the subject.

No one knows yet, we're the second class to of the year to have them. The first year hufflepuffs just had the class and none of us have heard from one of them so it remained a mystery.

"Hello all." Luna said lightly, gingerly sitting behind me and next to some other RavenClaw.

"What are we discussing?" She asked, looking at everyone. Mr and Ginny turned a bit so we could see both Harry and Ron, and Luna.

"Hermione flipped off the divination teacher." Ginny explained. Luna's mouth made a small 'o' shape. "Why would you do that to professor Trawlaney?" She asked sweetly. She didn't sound offended about the need.

"I-" I started but my friends felt the need to explain for me.

"We had a lesson where we had to hold milk in our mouths, Hermione was paired with Blaise Zabini and he did something, though she won't tell us what, and she spit it out and began laughing her Bloody arse off until the teacher told her to calm down or leave, and she chose to leave and flipped her off as she left." Ginny said.

"I hope you dont get in too much trouble. That was very irresponsible." Luna said.

I stood up and looked away from them. "Excuse me. I have to go to the washroom." I said, struting out of the classroom, leaving my friends confused.

°Luna's POV°

I watched Hermione walk out. I fear that Ginny or i offended her. She didn't seem to like it that much.

"Oh my. Perhaps you said something wrong." I suggested out loud.

"Nah. She's fine." Ginny shrugged. "Perhaps she would rather be with the Slytherins." I said.

The three looked at me like I and said something crazy.

"Luna, what do you mean?" Harry asked.

"Well Blaise made her laugh so easily, when was the last time I've of you heard her laugh like that?" I asked. It made perfect sense.

"Last time was around..... 4th year. Maybe 5th." Ron said. Point proven.

"Thats just a coincidence. It's not like she's ever really had a conversation with him. Not a decent one anyways. Or any other Slytherin. Its not like she's going to turn around and be best mates with Pansy Parkson." Ginny pointed out.

"Well, if I was Hermione i think I'd do what makes me happy. And maybe Thats the Slytherins." I said.

Hermione didn't return for the whole class. Which is so unlike her.
She didn't get to meet the new teacher, Professor Fischer. He was a nice man. He reminds me of professor Lupin when he taught here. He seems to like what he teaches and didn't give us homework. He just talked about what we we're going to learn this year.

I asked him if we would learn about Nargles or the Amazonic Elk-horned fish. He said he'd get back to me on that.

I hope we learn about them.
People need to know more about them before something goes horribly wrong.

A//N: Short, I know. But I'll do better in the future. I'm off to a summer camp soon so I wont have that much time to write.
