Charles Blossom arrived at the high school. He drove into his usual parking spot, which was right in between Cheryl's empty one and Jason's old one. Charles took his keys out of the ignition and took a deep breath. He put his keys in his pocket and got out of the car, looking around for an angry Cheryl which whom he luckily didn't see. As he walked into school, all eyes were focused on him. Usually, it would be the cheerleaders greeting flirtatious smiles and winks, jocks giving him head nods and fist bumps except now everyone was staring and whispering about his dead brother.
Charles arrived at his locker, met with his fuming sister. "Hey sis, how was your morning?" Charles asked, a playful grin on his face while his sister glared at him. "Well, let's see, my brother left me a skateboard to get to school," She started, shoving his skateboard into his chest while Charles chuckled and put it into his locker. "Then, my hair totally is not working with this outfit. Finally, everyone is staring me down and whispering about Jason." Cheryl finished, looking down. "Listen Cher, our brother just died. We're the Blossoms. Everyone is going to talk, just keep your head up." Charles spoke, giving Cheryl a reassuring smile when he spotted Archie, coming from the music room. "I gotta go, love you and keep smiling." As he ran off, Cheryl rolled her eyes and chuckled, "Love you too." She whispered, before strutting away.
"Arch!" Charles yelled for one of his friends. Charles and Archie had an okay connection. When they first met, Archie and his group of friends Betty and Jughead used to argue with his siblings and Charles, being the nice one, decided to keep his siblings away from them which caused a friendship between the four. Archie was still skeptical about Charles, to this day. "Hey Charlie," Archie said, using the nickname certain people called Charles by. "How was your summer?" He asked, concern and worry, radiating off him. "Besides my brother dying, peachy," Charles chuckled, shaking his hand to show it was kinda good and kinda bad. "You trying music?" Charles asked, pointing to the music room Archie walked out of a few minutes before. "Uh, yeah but Josie pretty much shut me down." Archie answered, scratching the back of his neck. "Sounds like something she would do. Josie is one feisty pussycat." Charles said, laughing. Archie laughed as well. While the two continued talking, neither noticed Betty and Kevin showing the new girl around from across the hall. "Oh, and of course there's the Back-to-School - semiformal dance this weekend." Betty said, her and Veronica looking ahead. "Oh! There's the hottie we were with last night." Veronica spoke, spotting the boy named Archie and another boy who's name was unknown but face descriptive. He was a cute brown haired boy and he was dressed in all red. Who dresses in all red?Hot but a little much, Veronica thought. "The red-headed Ansel Elgort. Is he your boyfriend?" She asked. "No, he's straight." "No, we're just friends." Kevin and Betty answered at the same time looking over at each other. "In that case, mind putting in a word? I've tried every flavor of boy but orange." Veronica seductively stated, eyeing Archie but staring a little at the unknown boy he was laughing with. "Actually, to clarify Betty and Archie aren't dating, but they are endgame." Kevin said, making sure she knew where those two stood. "You should ask him to the semiformal then." Veronica told the blonde- hair girl, still observing the brown hair boy she had yet to know about. "She should, but I heard it might be getting canceled. Because of what happened to Jason." Kevin said. "They're gonna tell us at the assembly." Betty said. "Who's Jason and what happened to him?" Veronica questioned, adverting her eyes from the mystery boy as she wondered who this Jason kid was and what happened to him. The cute boy she didn't know yet would have to wait.

"Thank you for that moment of silence." Cheryl began, as she began speaking. Charles decided against speaking in front of the school but did stand by his sister while on stage with her. He didn't want to show the school the sadness he held within. After Jason died, Charles smile or laugh was hidden by coldness except for when he was in front of his parents, sister or others he cared for, for example Archie. "Many of you were lucky enough to have known our brother personally." She spoke, referring to her and the younger triplet. "Each and every one of you meant the world to Jason. Charles loved our brother. I loved our brother. He was and always will be my soulmate. So I speak with the confidence only 1/3 of triplets could have, Jason wouldn't want us to spend the year mourning." Cheryl stopped, took a deep breath, looked at her brother who simply nodded and continued. "Jason would want us to move on with our lives. Which is why I've asked the School Board not to cancel the Back-to-School semiformal." The crowd began clapping in excitement as Charles rolled his eyes. He use to love the dances but it wouldn't feel right without Jason there. "But rather, to let us use it as a way to heal, collectively, and celebrate our brother's too, too short life on this mortal coil. Thank you all." Cheryl finished as the crowd stood up and began to leave the gymnasium. Charles ran off with the crowd towards his first class of day trying to rid the remaining thoughts of Jason in his head.
