Lex Luthor walks into Smallville's Savings and Loans with a backpack over his shoulders. He walks up to the front counter where the manager went to greet him.
"What can i do for you Mr. Luthor?" The accountant said.
"I want to close all my accounts." Lex said simply.
"May I ask why?" The manager asked.
"Is there a problem?" Luthor asked.
"No! No, no, no, of course not. It's...it's just the Luthors have been have been banking here for 12 years. It's quite shock."
"I'd like it all in cash." Lex said bluntly.
The manager looked a little uneasy, but complied. "We'll do our best. Can I get your signature?"
"Certainly." Lex said.
Lex signed the form and passed the paper back to the manager. The manager took a look at it and immediately felt something was off. He took out a pass form that Lex had signed and noticed that the signature on both of these forms did not match. He gave the 'Lex' standing before him an uncertain look.
"Mr. Luthor, may I see your driver's license, please?" The manager asked.
"Why?" 'Lex' asked.
"This signature doesn't match our records. I just to verify your I.D."
"I'm standing right in front of you. What more do you need?"
"Sorry, it's bank policy."
Lex got annoyed and pulled a gun out of his backpack pocket. "I need the money now. Fill the bag." Lex demanded.
Outside of the bank, Clark and Nathan were walking along the sidewalk just talking and minding their own business.
"So what's it like waking up early every morning to do work on the farm?" Nathan asked.
"It's not as bad as everyone thinks it is." Clark answered. "Honestly, the reward of doing a hard day's work far exceeds the need for sleep."
"Man, I don't think I could go half a day without taking a little power nap." Nathan said.
Clark chuckled at that. "So how are you and your aunt settling in?"
"Really good. She got a job at the post office and she's dying to meet some of my friends."
"Well you should invite her over to dinner with my family. I'm sure my mom wouldn't mind."
Before Nathan could agree he spotted Lex running up to them. "Hey Lex, where's the fire?"
"Are you alright?" Clark asked in concern.
"Get out of the way!" 'Lex' said.
He pushed Clark and Nathan on opposite sides with incredible strength. Clark was sent crashing through a shop window on one side, while Nathan was sent flying across the street on the other.
The weirdness didn't end there. When Clark started to get back up his vision started to shift. All of a sudden he was staring into Lex's skeleton, but it was covered in some kind of green substance.
It almost looked like meteor rocks.
Clark's vision started to go back to normal when Lex ran away. Clark was beyond confused by what just happened, but he put that aside for concern of his friend. He got up and jogged over to Nathan.
"Nathan, are you okay?" Clark as he lifted him up.
Nathan rolled his shoulder in discomfort. "Anybody get the number on that truck." Nathan groaned.
