Days passed by smoothly at HLM High Rise. I always see Li fetching Hazel na kung minsan ay naaabutan ko parin na magkausap sila ni Cher. Hindi ko na lang pinapansin kahit na masakit sa mata, ayokong magkasagutan kami ulit ni Cher katulad nang nangyari noong nakaraan. I also place a barrier sa pagitan namin para hindi ako tuluyan na makalapit sa kanya, I am trying my very best na layuan siya. As much as possible ay hindi ko siya kinakausap and so far I have survived those days.

I have a meeting later with the society. It's our monthly meeting and this time, it will be held at Goldstruck Hotel. Maaga akong nagpunta sa hotel to also check on the sales report and talk to Trina, my secretary. Pagdating ko sa Goldstruck by 4 in the afternoon, I've checked on the Board Room where our meeting will take place later then I talk to Trina for updates. By 6 in the evening ay nagpunta na ako sa Board Room, Klein and Stern were here already. Smith and Reiz are on their way. While Li, hindi ko na inalam dahil for sure ay huli na naman na dadating ang isang yun.

'Hey man! How are you?' I pat Stern's shoulder as I shake Klein's hand.

'Still handsome man, how about you?' Stern answered me back. We all sit together sa bandang unahan ng table.

'Still more handsome than the both of you. Hahahaha! What time will Li arrive?'

'Don't know! He said he'll be coming, I just don't know what time. Baka naghahanap pa ng isasama tonight, you know him.' Klein said while he light up his cigar.

'I think he will come alone tonight. Mukhang tinototoo na niya ang pagiging in love niya kay Hazel! But I may be wrong!' I look at Stern nang sabihin niya yun.

'Nah! We all knew that asshole so well! He's not the type who'll get serious over a woman!' I remember Cher and him. I gritted my teeth. Nagsindi na lang ako ng cigar ko to divert my thoughts.

'We are here!' we all look at the door, Smith and Reiz enters. We greet them with hand shakes before settling again at our seats.

'Wala pa si Li? He said he'll try to bring Hazel tonight.' Reiz said as a matter of fact and he too lit his cigar.

'That's impossible man! Naka-duty si Hazel right now, as far as I remember!' I counteract his statement.

'Maybe he'll bring another chick with him tonight! That ass! Hahaha!' Klein butt in.

'I have an idea! Let's bet if Li will be alone tonight or if he'll bring a chick with him!' I initiate the bet, katuwaan lang.

'What?! Ofcourse he'll bring a whore tonight! He always does! Kailan ba walang dala si Li during our meetings?!' si Stern ang sumagot.

'Then bet on him with a whore tonight then!' I puff my cigar and played with my lighter.

'Fine! 200,000 pesos on Li with a chick tonight!' Stern finally said.

'Now we're talking! Hahahahaha!!' I smile at him as I nod my head with amusement.

'Me too! 200,000 pesos! He's with someone tonight!' Klein tap the table.

'Mga gago kayo! Pati ba naman ganyan, pinagpupustahan niyo!!' Reiz said while shaking his head.

'Ikaw Smith?! What's your bet? Me? I bet on him coming alone tonight!' I smirk at them.

'Magkano?!' Stern and Klein ask in unison.

'Kung magkano ang bet ng lahat ofcourse!'

'What the?! Fucking shit Martin! We all knew Li! Hindi pwedeng walang babae sa meeting yun! You're betting on the losing side man!' Klein contradicted me.
