Chapter 3

The first month of school went by fast. It was now October, the weather was changing and it was getting harder for me to stay on a positive path in school.

I walked into my 4th period teachers class, he was a major asshole, and that's the day I just so happened to be late. "Miss. Pabon why are you late to my class?" He yelled. I rolled my eyes at him and sat down in my seat. "Detention". He wrote my name on the board. "Be here when school ends, or you'll be suspended." You have got to be kidding me, the first time I'm late for this guys class and he's already threatening me with a suspension. Taylor was a row behind me, and of course he had to stick up for me. "Umm excuse me Mr. Greene, Selena cant have after school detention because unlike you she has a good job she has to be at."

I turned around to look at Taylor with a "are you kidding me face". With Taylor you never knew what was going to come out of his mouth. I turned my body around to face Mr. Greene he looked so pissed that i couldn't help but chuckle really loud. "Mr. Caniff & Miss. Pabon principals office NOW!"

"Well if you insist, it was nice being in your class for 15 minutes, see ya tomorrow buddy." Taylor said like the smartass he is as we walked out the door. We were definitely not going to the principals office, so we snuck out of school for the day. On our way to my car we saw Sammy & Gilinsky..

"Hey babe" Sammy said. Taylor looked at me and shook his head. He got into the drivers seat and waited for me to get in. "Samuel you should really stop hitting on every girl you see." I didn't know where all this courage and confidence was coming from today. First I rolled my eyes at my teacher, then I left school and now I just called Sammy by his whole first name, and he hated being called that. He walked up to me and pushed me hard enough to hit the side of my car but gently enough that it didn't hurt or leave bruises.

"What do you think you're a badass, because you're skipping school. Huh?" I gave him a smirk and got into the passenger seat. Gilinsky stood in front of the car, and wouldn't let Taylor pull off. Sammy went behind my car and up to my window, and of course my window was down. "See you tonight babe". There was something really off about them. I kept wondering where Matthew was because there always together but he wasn't there. And what did Sammy mean by "I'll see you tonight"

My parents weren't home so me and Taylor went there, and since Carter didn't go to school today I told him to come over. It was only 12:30pm and I had to be at work by 4. " So you guys just walked out of class?" Carter asked turning the TV on in the living room. Carter was always doing things that he probably shouldn't be doing, so he found it amusing that me and Tay left school without going to the principals office. We would probably get in even bigger trouble tomorrow for all of it actually. "Why does all the cool things happen, when I'm not in school?". Carter asked.

It was now 3 and I had to start getting ready to leave for work at the CD shop. Laneena and Brianna got home from school and Carter and Taylor stayed at my house, when I left. It was a fifteen minute ride, and i didn't get out of work until eleven at night. That means I have a six hour shift tonight.

When I got there I saw someone behind the counter, which was weird because it was supposed to be only me working tonight. I couldn't make out who it was because their back was towards me. "Hey." I said making my way towards the back of the shop. The unknown person turned around and it was ......Sammy. I guess that's what he meant by "I'll see you tonight". He works here now, great. Not only do I have to put up with him in school, but now work with him.

He turned around and gave me a smirk. "Told ya I'd see you tonight." It was a busy night and I just stayed and worked the cashier, while Sammy unboxed CD's and restocked them. The night went by quick and it was already 10pm. Sammy went outside to smoke a cigarette. While I texted Brianna. I looked up to see Sammy talking to some guys. His face went from "calm & cool" to "angry & frustrated." He started yelling at the two guys and walked back in the shop.

"What's wrong?" I asked putting my phone in my pocket. "Did you drive yourself here? Where's your car?" I looked at him with a confused face, he wasn't making any sense. But I answered his question "I parked near the alley way." Probably wasn't the best answer anyone could give. "You parked near the fucking alley way! I'm driving you home!"

"Umm, I'm totally fucking capable of driving myself." I don't know if that's his way to get in a girls pants but I wasn't taking any chances.

My shift was over and I walked right past Sam and out to my car. I went to open the car door, and felt someone's hands on my shoulder. I thought it was Sammy but it was the guys he was talking to earlier. "Can I help you?" Both of them smiled widely. They pushed me into the alley way. I tried to fight back, but it was useless.  They tried to take my clothes off. But someone came from the alley. I couldn't see who it was but in 2 quick seconds one of the guys were on the floor screaming in pain. The other one got a way. I looked down to see that the guy on the grounds neck was bleeding.

I didn't want to turn around and see what just did that, but my curiosity got the best of me.

It was really dark but I could just make out the description of the man. He's eyes were light and wild. Panting chest, and his teeth were inhuman like a Beast. A vampire. It was Sammy.

"What the hell are you!" I screamed.
