"Your not funny" I laughed as Darren was trying to roast Melo. I was at our house while he was in Texas with the Ball family. "Baby, you're supposed to be on my side" He looked at me through the camera. "She know what side to be on" Melo urged playing around coming towards Darren. He got up and Melo started to run back causing me to laugh harder, "Aye man chill" Melo responded laughing.

"Man get out" He told Melo, "I was just about to leave anyway, Renee make sure you hit my phone up tonight" He joked running out the room as Darren sighed. "He's such a kid" He spoke, "Maybe because he is" I responded. "Anyway, how's Texas so far?" I continued. He nodded looking away and then back at me, "I don't know, I haven't been able to really enjoy anything. I've been thinking about tomorrow and how I'm not even going to be there".

Tomorrow.. A day I've been trying not to think about but I just can't stop. Our anniversary. It's been two years already since the day he asked me to be his girlfriend. "It's okay baby, you have to do your job and be there for Lonzo" In all honesty I hated how majority of his time is consumed by him and his family. Don't get me wrong I love them to pieces but.. sometimes I need Darren and he's not available.

"It's not okay and I don't want you thinking that it is" He urged. I looked up at the window seeing how dark it was, "But it is, we can't do anything about it so there is no need in complaining". "I'm not complaining" He responded as I looked right back at my phone screen. "You know what I mean". He laid back without saying anything, "Well I guess I'll be the first to say it" I spoke catching his attention again, "Say what?" "Happy early anniversary" I gave a big smile as I made him laugh, "Happy early anniversary to you to" He responded smiling.

He looked right in front of him, "What's up?" He spoke. I'm guessing someone just came inside of his room. "The boys are going out and wanted to see if you wanted to come, they're leaving out in five" A guy responded. "Thanks Horace". I sighed looking down, "I'll call you back before I go to sleep" He looked at me getting up. "Okay" I was about to hang up until he started to speak again, "I love you" He smiled making me smile a little, "Love you too" Right after I heard Melo talking but I hung up quickly.

Maybe tomorrow won't be so bad, at least we still have each other. That's all that matters right now.

I laid back in my bed and started going through social media trying to keep myself up until Darren calls back again.

Hours passed and my eyes were so heavy. I wasn't even on my phone anymore, I watched an entire movie twice and he still didn't call me back. I picked up my phone and went straight to snapchat and watched his story, they went out to the club and his last post wasn't even five minutes ago. I'm just going to go to sleep. I turned the ringer off on my phone and rolled over turning off the light.

1:09am

I noticed the time and laid completely down going to sleep. Happy anniversary to me.

My eyes started to open as I groaned in tiredness.

10:21am

I looked away from the clock and grabbed my phone seeing missed calls and text messages from a couple of people, including Darren. I saw that my friends texted me wishing Darren and I a good day but how is that when he's not here. Darren called me 10 times between last night and this morning, he didn't text me though.

I got up heading inside of my bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I'll call him when I'm done, he most likely went back to sleep. There is no telling of what time he probably got back last night. After I was done I was heading to call him back until the door bell rung. I left out of the room and headed downstairs really confused on who could it be. I went to the front door and opened it seeing a guy holding a huge bouquet of roses and a large teddy bear. A smile came across my face as he handed them to me, "Are you Renee?" He asked making sure, "Yes I am, thank you" I thanked him before he walked away.

My foot closed the door as I turned around I placed the large life size bear on the couch and I sat down beside it pulling out a card from the roses. I started to read out loud.

I'm sorry this is probably what you didn't expect

and to be honest you deserve a lot more.

But you should've picked up the phone last night..

Cause-

"I'm here" I heard a voice from behind me. I got up quickly seeing Darren as he leaned against the wall. "Baby" I spoke as I became overwhelmed with happiness. I ran towards him as he opened up his arms. "You really thought I was going to miss today?" He asked as he picked me up. I wrapped my legs around him. "Shut up" I laughed as I kissed him but I pulled away quickly, "How did you get here so fast?" I questioned. He opened up his mouth about to respond, "How did Zo let you leave?" I asked and he started to laugh.

He placed me down, "He let me leave because he know that there is a certain question that I've been wanting to ask you for the longest and it's killing me how I haven't done this yet" He started. He started to pull something out of his back pocket and he got down on one knee. Oh my Go- "Darren" I started seeing the ring, "I knew ever since I met you I wanted you to be the one, the one that I run too, the one I have my children with, the-" He soon got cut off. "Get to the point" Someone yelled. We both look back and see Melo. I'm going to kill him. Darren started to laugh, "Renee, what I'm trying to ask is, will you marry me?"

I leaned down and kissed him as passionately as I could, "Yes"
